Speaking of Demps and Rainey, haven't they been playing there for FL like 6-7 years now????? Geez. That's all the FL offense has, really. Bama's speed on Defense will shut those end runs down cold. Unfortunately I think Bama swamps them in the Swamp: Bama 24 FLA. 10 Defense scores twice for the Bammers.[/QUOTE] Their names came up a lot when they were freshmen, that is for sure. Another reason to question how in the world they let Mike Blakely their 200 lbs. 4* running back out of town, much less to the barn. Still we need to stop the run and make Brantley win the day.
This is going to be an interesting game. Bama hasn't seen a good running offense yet. FU may not can pass, but u can bet that the run production will be better than what has been seen. I don't think any comparison can be made between the AR performance and FU's predicted performance, as AR were too one dimensional pass, with no run threat at all. That allowed Bama to play nickel most of the game. I think it is going to be closer than most think. Bama 21, FU 17
I will go out on a limb FL-17 BAMA-13. Hope they beat the hell out of each other and knock lots of people out on both sides of the ball.:thumb: Go Gators and go Bama kill each other!!! :tigereye:
Could be. Especially if they figure out how to get them in space. But all that off tackle stuff is going to hurt this week. Florida needs to figure a few things out as well. Starting with the speed and size of our backs. Trent and Eddie have been taking it to the house. Maze has been operating in space all season, even with no Julio. And AJ has been more than serviceable, down right dependable. Coverage has been special on special teams. We got no "Wing" and field position has been wanting so far.
Bama 27-17 I just don't see Florida being physical enough. No matter who wins, it WOULD be nice to see Florida beat up a little bit in this game as they play us the following week.
SEC play took the gloves of Bama last weekend and squarely landed everything on Arky QB Wilson. Bama is looking very good right now.
Don't know how Wilson got up, but it took a man to do it. By the way, Alabama officially never recorded a sack. BP's vaunted stretch passing attack, looked very pedestrian and somewhat horizontal for an Arky effort. Takes time and lots of it, to get the four amigos a little more vertical.:dis:
Not too knock either team, but neither has really played anybody that has posed a threat to them. These two teams have been riding in a Cadillac all season and something is bound to give. First instinct is to say that Florida is not the real deal based on last year and SOS this year. But on the contrary, Alabama has not played anybody worthy of saying that Bama is unstoppable either. Arkansas is Horrible! Alabama has been taking care of business as usual and have the stats to pad a #1 Ranking based on a win vs. Florida BUT, let’s face it, 2 wins at home over sisters of the poor and both Penn State & Arkansas have turned out to be awful. Not overly Impressed on being 4-0 - I expected as much. Florida has shown more life than I thought they would, but I didn’t have them losing to anybody on their schedule until they played Alabama anyway so a 4-0 record is right on par and expected. Just because this one is in the “The Swamp” Florida makes it interesting (more so than the Hogs did) but I think Alabama takes care of business in this one. Grow Man Football AND – Alabama takes the number one ranking after the win next week.
