Big matchup next weekend. Who ya got?

Haven't seen the line for this yet, but I assume the Gators will be home dogs, maybe 6 or 7 points.

Florida has no passing game still. Or at least not enough to bother Bama.

    Bama 30, Florida 13

Florida will be made out to be pretenders just like Arkansas.

FU, as usual, will show they have some talent - for the future. They haven't faced a stiff defense yet. I can't believe some knucklehead on ESPN Gameday had KY upsetting FU today. Nuts. I expect that FU will be in the game early, but only momentarily. Bama's defense will wear them down, and Saban will continue work on developing that offense as he prepares for LSU.

    McCarron - 779 yrds / 4 TD / 2 INT
    Brantley - 752 yrds / 4 TD / 2 INT

    BAMA - 31

I think that UF will put up much more of a fight than Arky did, but I think at this point, Alabama is just playing too good of football. I say that giving Arkansas some credit, but if Arkansas is truly terrible, then Bama is yet to be tested, and this could be a very interesting game.

IMO: Penn State Defense > Arkansas Defense & West Virginia and Oregon Offense’s > Arkansas Offense

I am hoping that UF can get in there and be successful on offense to give LSU an idea of how to attack and expose that Alabama defense.

Stats will do little to solve the riddle.

After 4 weeks Bama is 2nd (456 yds/gm) in total offense in the SEC and 26th in the nation. Defense is number one (184 yds/gm) with a bullet in the SEC and #2 in the nation.

Florida stands at 461 yds/gm (1st) in the SEC and 2nd in defense, giving up 231 yds/gm (2nd) in the conference.

Heard Brantley has gotten a little dinged up and we're gonna have to keep Demps and Rainey in front of us. The more physical the better.

Speaking of Demps and Rainey, haven't they been playing there for FL like 6-7 years now????? Geez.

That's all the FL offense has, really. Bama's speed on Defense will shut those end runs down cold.

Unfortunately I think Bama swamps them in the Swamp:

    Bama 24
    FLA. 10

Defense scores twice for the Bammers.

I disagree. UF is rolling offensively right now because of 3 veterans: Rainey, Demps, and Brantley. I have to wonder how successful they'd be if those skill positions weren't so experienced.

Absolutely agree. I caught a lot of the bama/Arky game and Arky is pretty damn bad. Their tackling is downright putrid (even compared to our poor showing in that regard Sat night), and they are so one-dimensional on offense that it isn't even funny. Oh, and their OL is bad, too. Can't survive in the SEC like that.

But I take nothing away from bama. They looked very sharp in that game, and simply deflated Arky from the word "go". They are very similar to us in that they will beat you and multiple phases of the game.
