PU-lease...he needs to go back and learn how to CORRECTLY place the sequence of events prior to writing about them...these bozos enjoy hurling crap about LSU and our inability to get over the past so much, you'd have to wonder what went on in THEIR childhood to leave them so scarred, oh we won't EVEN go there....above all...THIS WAS A GREAT IDEA whoever thought of it...maybe we should do the same all over the US...I may do my part this weekend here is South Fla!! Someone up in Columbus, Ohio..get some purple and gold flower packets and drive I-275...spread 'em around, after the thaw, before everything starts bloomin'...it'll be the 1st thing those buckeyes see once the snow melts..all that purple and gold AGAIN!
If they take things that personal, they must really be hurting inside knowing that their program has sucked for years. I guess when you're no longer a powerhouse because of scandals, cheating, poor coaching, etc. you start to let little things get to you. Reading this article and the additional comments, they all sound like a bunch of little kids whining because they didn't get their way. Grow up! I like the comment about how LSU didn't really win the title. "USC would have killed LSU". He failed to mention that we scored more points than USC, gave up fewer points than USC, had several quality wins (including two over Top 5 Georgia), won one more game than USC, and played a tougher schedule. They also forget to mention the title they claim they share with Notre Dame...even though Notre Dame beat them in a bowl game and finished undefeated that year. I respect their tradition and ALWAYS pull for them out of conference but quit the whining. I personally don't care about Saban. He had a good thing...let his ego and greed get the best of him...COMPLETELY flopped in Miami...and quickly found a good job back in college where he can actually control the players. It had nothing to do with wanting to leave LSU and even less to do with wanting to go to Alabama. I'm glad he's gone because it proves we can win with a quality coach as long as we keep our recruits in house. If you read those comments, you would think that LSU only played with seniors this year which just proves their complete ignorance. LSU had a ton of contributors who were NEVER recruited by Saban. They should be more concerned with their complete late season collapse than trying to defer their problems talking about someone else. (and they question our class?)
Yeah, reading that blog post and follow-up comments, it's hard to see why the creators of the mentally-slow Forrest Gump character decided that his home state would be Alabama. The author writes: "Tiger fans still can't let it go ... Seriously? This is a sign of a well-adjusted, mentally-balanced fan base?" Yet, then some of his own fellow Bama fans show up posting comments such as: "[LSU fans] forget that before Coach Saban their school was nothing!! Coach miles is going to hit rock bottom before too long....lsu will fall soon!!! Oh, this past year 17 of the 22 starters wil Saban recruits!! LMAO!!! ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "I guess the lswho fans realize now who has the better coach. ROLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!" "correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Bear own LSWHO?"
The Bama arrogance is mind boggling, simply amazing. Kinda like being a liberal, the opinions and views are so ridiculous, incredible that they can't see through it. You wanna go in there in correct em but it's like pissin in the wind, or in a wind tunnel in that case.
In addition, we had 2 common opponents that year, AZ and AU. We beat both of them by 3pts more than USC did. With no other way to measure it since they didn't play, LSU was 3pts betters than USC.
