Just not gonna happen. Perfect storm, we get a bye week, Alabama plays their toughest opponent of the year this coming week. We get them in Death Valley at night. Alas, it's not enough. I may be generous with the 6 points. Defense plays valiantly enough, but stays on the field way too long due to an inept LSU offense (38 minutes to 22).
LSU 17 Alabama 16 I don't doubt Les Miles. 22 straight at home, make it 23, then all the haters of the hat will be back on his nuts until Ole Miss plays us close and then they hate him again.
So far this offense hasn't shown they are any better equipped to perform any better than the offense in the NCG. No way to sugar coat things, this offense is really bad. You're right. The defense will play well but they can only be expected to hold up so long. Bama is going to break it open in the 2nd half. Here's to at least crossing the 50 YL.
Nah .. I think it is LSU 23-Bama 19. Mett comes out with a stellar performance ...opens up the run game, and Hill or Ford break a long run for a TD, and Mett throws for another ... added to three FGs. Bama scores a TD and 4 FGs. Brad Wing has to punt a few times ... and kicks it clear out of the stadium and hits some tailgator in the head. Alleman kicks it over the Allstate net and hits an old lady in the nose. Freak ... Freaks out and it takes the entire Bama Line to hold him back .. .while Keke and Sam terrorize McCarron, turning his pants yellow. Death Valley is so loud that it triggers an earthquake in California ... Never underestimate the "voodoo" thing.
At this point it's our only hope. Everyone better get out their Saban bobble-heads and needles and get to work.
Miles is 6-2 coming off a bye week, 3-0 against Saban coming off a bye week, it's night time, it's gonna be on primetime, it's gonna be rowdy with a Death Valley venue full of drunk Cajuns and it's gonna be that much better when we pull it off......where's your competitive fire and confidence people? Did any of you play competitive sports and just walk in as an underdog to an opponent and just expect to lose? Lets get nasty and get behind the Tigers! If any team has a chance at any venue its us, stop being such little bitches, I say that affectionately of course If you aren't with them you are against them......
So you're saying the only way LSU wins is if we give bama a little gris gris? It will definitely need to be a perfect storm. No room for error in this game.
Do you all enjoy courting misery? I mean come on predicting doom and gloom every week? Enjoy the win for 24hours anyway. I'm not saying pump sunshine or that there are not valid critisicims but we are here to enjoy the Tigers and have fun. This "sky is falling" routine is tiresome.
I successfully predicted wins over A&M and South Carolina (see threads) as well as a loss to Florida. Toughen up your skin. It's ok to deal in reality. Keeps you grounded.
I know everyone in the media and all the bammers are all slobbing on AJ McCarron's knob right now, but he has never played under the lights in Death Valley.
