yes, an event where they tried to convince muslims to be cool.

like inviting an alcoholic to meeting where they are discussing how to help people stop drinking.

he was the perfect target audience. exactly the guy who should be at the lunch.

This is what I've got at the moment....will have see if I can find more:

John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt (Jan/Feb 2003). "An unnecessary war". Foreign Policy (134): 54.

    also

    [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Glaspie]April Glaspie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

The diplomat involved obviously tries to cover her behind but the information has clearly been discussed among people involved in this area. It is not a secret.

Which leads to my next question:

Do you really think human beings tell the truth all the time? Obviously people lie and/or more commonly try to dance around the truth which forces you to "read between the lines".

Do you take coaches at their word when they are giving a press conference? What the hell does "coach speak" mean except not giving a direct answer. Miles does this all the time....it's up to the listener to try to figure out what is the truth, Miles isn't simply going to barf it up for dutifully for the media. Especially with injuries he does this....a guy's knee-cap could be hanging off and Miles would say he is "nicked".

If a friggin' college football coach thinks it is important not to give your opponent or the media/public all the information.......why is it so difficult to get through your head that the US government and all governments do so as well.

It would help the credibility of "other posters" if they would admit this and argue the facts of the case.

so you give us this big conspiracy theory, then your proof is an article saying "oops, we may have done something unintentionally"?

not real strong proof there, sparky.

Hey there, bobo....you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, eh? I was asked for some sort of evidence or paper, etc. where this was stated. By an "expert".

So I looked one up and posted it. What's the problem? What happened in Kuwait is not a secret but the government doesn't broadcast it much because it makes them look bad. Do you expect the government to just disclose all of the information at their disposal, all of the time? What world are you living in there, junior?

Do we have CIA or not? NSA or not? Do they publish their plans in the USA Today or is that information classified? Do you understand the concept of classified info? Espionage? Counter-espionage? Misinformation?

Don't you realize that nations are in a competitive environment "relative to" other nations? (My tribute to Saban during Bama week.)

Finally, you must be one helluva poker player there, poindexter. When you get a full house, do you clap your hands with glee and say, "wow, the best hand I've had all night!" or what? Why do you expect the extremely intelligent people in positions of power to do the same? It is obviously a ridiculous way to play poker. You have to let the "other guy" think he has a chance to win so he will invest in the pot and then clean his clock......

just like what the US did to Saddam....

do you have any intelligent points to make or do you want to go ahead and end the discussion by calling the other side, "whack jobs"......:rolleye33:

and as i noted, you failed to deliver

again, sparky, you made a statement of conspiracy, and how it was well known in diplomatic circles. how you had professors who had all the scoop. so you were asked for proof. and you produced a weak sauce. so weak, my trainers are stronger.

now when called on it, suddenly the government doesnt disclose information? the same govt whose diplomats are blabbing to your professors? if it is sooooooo well known, surely someone is on record.

so which is it? classified? so classified every truther in florida knows it? or misinformation? you know, bs?

you really think babbling is gonna disguise that your "proof" was anything but?

well, now we are getting somewhere. you wanting to end the discussion since you couldnt back up your statement. and that you realize most think truthers are whack-jobs.
