Looks like LSU is putting on the full court press to make AJ our primary QB in this class. I don't know about his mobility, but he doesn't look like as good of an athlete as the guys we've been recruiting there. I'm surprised by this as well, and am not quite sure what to make of it.

I don't feel great about getting him out of Bama, but I feel alright about our chances.

One thing that has impressed me about AJ the last few years is the way he regards his teammates. A few weeks ago he commented that he would like to commit early, but hasn't done so because he felt the attention he would receive (as being open) would help draw attention to some of the other players at St. Pauls when the coaches visit. Very unselfish kind of guy.

That's just one of the reasons he's considered a Bama lean (teammates) because 3 of this years class is from St. Pauls, all on the offensive side of the ball.

Next fall is going to be interesting for me, as well as some of you guys I suspect, because he won't have some of the players around him he did this past season. With a good year, I expect to see his ranking rise...struggle, and he'll fall out of the top 100 quickly. (not far to go, considering he's ranked 99th on rivals.)

I think if LSU wants him no way Alabama lets him go.. They will take him just to keep us from getting him.. I thought we were close to a Quarterback from Texas ? Things change I guess..

We're not close to get any 2nd QB.....Garrett, Green, McCarron, Karam, Forcier, Savage are all on our radar but no one is close to committing

Coaches dont have time to play 3rd grade games, nor the spots for it.

Bama and LSU want him....not much more to it.

We'll take him, along with one other QB, because we need QB's and he's a good player. It has nothing to do with keeping him from another school. It's going to be a defining year for AJ because he lost some of the offensive weapons he had last season.

Several other schools are trying to get in the door with AJ. I don't see it happening though...Auburn is in there, OU, UT, Miami, and a few others.

Some? How about almost all. I think he's a good QB but what they lost makes it very difficult to duplicate what he did last year. I would love to see him at LSU but the door at St. Pauls seems to be closing for us and everyone else.
