When the first violation was revealed, I really didn't care.... it could have been an isolated, easily corrected incident. Mistakes are made, clerical errors happen. When the second violation came out, I thought, "uh oh...if she did it twice, she probably did it more than that." Now the count is four.....does anyon think its going to stop at that number? Do we overlook repeated acts of misuse of federal money because Landrieu now has seniority and a very important chairmanship in the Senate? What to do, voters? If you're not familiar.....

Sure. It amounts to less than $5,000, since repaid. She has brought in $millions to the state and stands to bring in much more.

Didn't EWE fly the plane to vegas and gamble with State money, when asked he said "I won so I put it back" ? Could be urban legend, this of course is not and I'm sure it amounts to more than 5k.

Edwards won or lost more than $5K with every roll of the dice.

I like what he said when he was accused of taking a bribe from some Korean businessman. He told 60 Minute's Mike Wallace. "Of course I took the money. I did it to keep it from going to anybody else."

Landrieu needs to be tossed. Especially if I might be moving back to the old stomping gounds.

Not that chickenshit amount! I don't vote based on one cherry picked factor. She has 18 very successful years in the Senate to consider. What politician has not combined business with politics on a trip? This is just election-year mudslinging.

Landrieu is a prime target by the nation GOP. They are going to throw a lot of resources at unseating her. So far all their money and motivation have is accounting errors for charter flights from New Orleans to Vidalia to Shreveport to Alexandria and back to New Orleans, and again in October from New Orleans to Opelousas to Patterson and back to New Orleans. Not Paris, the Carribean, Vegas, etc. Small towns in her home state. No one goes to these towns for anything except to leave, unless you live there. Just what nefarious schemes has she hatched?

Yes, toss that crooked bitch aside. Give us yet another Republican empty shirt to continue to fuck over the citizens of Louisiana.

This matter amounts to an accounting error. A flight to Vidalia. What a scandal! This is too little and too early to defeat Landrieu in November. Now the commercials are trying to shame her for owning a $2 million house in DC. Hell the average house in DC costs $760,000 and that was brought down by the vast numbers of ghetto housing there. The upscale middle-class neighborhoods are all $1 to $2 million dollars. And since when do the republicans think that being wealthy is a bad thing?

If this is all the dirt they can find on Mary . . .
