After the Jordan Jefferson era, how do you manage to have this inept a QB/passing game once again?

We will see how 15 and beyond looks if this cluster continues.

It could be the same. Or the coach does actually step down before the inevitable.

Since the '07, outside the '11 season LSU has not shown much improvement. The teams have underachieved and the coaching has been poor. THe '11 season was amazing. Especially with the fact the O was similar to what we see today but the OL was just so damn dominant. Teams knew what was coming but the OL would maul them into submission by the second half. As bad as the passing game was then I think it's a bit better than we are seeing today. Which is utterly pathetic to say the least.

Even in the 2011 magical season, the QB position was being hidden, especially when Jefferson took over. Looking back, the Arkansas game was saved by special teams (kickoff return for TD) and defense. The SEC CG vs Georgia was saved by special teams (punt return for TD and another long punt return setting up a 2nd) and defense. Remember the first half vs Georgia in which we had exactly zero first downs? Sounds a lot like the Arkansas game yesterday. We just don't have special teams that are special and a defense that scores points anymore. Thus inept QB play sticks out like a sore thumb these days.

Cam Cameron, bless his heart, is hamstrung by a head coach that does not give a bleep about developing the QB position. I see a departure by Cameron at season's end.

In 2007 there are only two contenders in the SEC West, LSU and Auburn and we had to also play a contender from the east in Florida. Well, Florida is not much of a contender now, but this year we must play Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and State. Double the top-10 opponents and all in our division. LSU and Auburn have been playing at a high level for over a decade and three more teams cropped up to also play at a high level. Two things should be apparent.

    1. LSU will not be green every year.

    2. There will not be five contenders in the SEC West every year.

The '11 season also had an all time great D.

I know one thing is for sure Cam should not be taking any blame. People slammed Crowton, then Stud, and now we are seeing the same thing with Cam. One person is a common denominator....... Miles.

Red, we may disagree a lot but I know you know your football. Still in all you're putting up a valient fight here but I just do not see any legit excuse. Yes the SEC is deeper than normal but also no team is as dominant as in years past. LSU is young, no doubt that will lead to losses or poor play. However how poorly LSU started most of its early games is inexcusable. The way LSU lost the Bama game is inexcusable. And to be held to under 130 yards against Ark is unacceptable. Losing is fine, but this shit is not.

    Yes, but:

    1. After 11 games, the argument about this team being green is getting old.

    2. The team that made Les Miles look like a clueless ass last night was not one of those contenders.

Try to understand. We have no God-given right to win them all. We are going to lose some games that we think we should win. Everybody does.
