Re: After the Draft RP to the Vikes is a good deal for him, I think. They are not stocked at QB. The Vikes traded to get Sage Rosenfel from the Texans, after he started 6 games for us and played very well in 2008 while our starter was injured. When Favre decided to come back in 09, Rosenfel had to ride the pine. RP could be a cheap #3 with a possible high ceiling, learn the pro game, and have mobility and a big arm. Ryan now has a 2 yr. old daughter according to the article below; maybe now he'll get responsible. I'd like to see him do well. Ryan Perrilloux shows off his NFL-caliber arm | al.com
Re: After the Draft While I wish him and his daughter no harm, I can't go as far as saying I wish him well in the pros. His being a bonehead had a huge hand in how mediocre our last two seasons have been. It seems like it should be a no-brainer not to get oneself in trouble continually in order to play football for a premier program. But he couldn't manage to do that.
Re: After the Draft Not hardly, I was talking to a young man last night who plays D-end for Jax State. He still described him as a person with a huge sense of entitlement. Seldom went to class, and his exact words were "no one can tell him the sky is blue." Met a few folks like that. None have been too successful.
Re: After the Draft RP has not signed with the Vikings but will get a tryout next weekend during their rookie mini-camp.
Re: After the Draft One of the reasons I don't coach anymore... Got chewed out by the head coach for trying to off one of our best OL because he thought he didn't have to listen becuase he was a starter...
