I was pretty shocked to see it was LSU who clearly dominated against the once #1 statistical defense in the land. Big Herm and Ciron Black devastated their front most of the game. Even question mark Carnell Stewart had a good game.

LSU was 11 for 18 on 3rd down conversions while OSU was 3 for 13. that shows dominance on both sides of the ball at the point of attack when it mattered.

I love this pic which shows more pancakes than a nashville strip mall:

I was impressed with the way LSU handled the DE pressure from OSU. The Buckeye's interior DT's are in the 280 lb range. They don't really have that Dorsey-type guy who who just "mucks stuff up" in the middle.
LSU did a nice job of getting blocking support on the corners, which was no small task.

Could not agree more Tirk. How about RJF putting Person on his ass 5yrds behind the LOS on that blocked FG? Awesome.

One OSU stat I was shocked to see was Laurinitis did have 18 tackles. That kid's for real, but I wonder how many of those tackles were at the 2nd level of the defense.

Anyone else notice the lil adjustment our coaches made, backing our dline off the line a bit to keep OSU's Oline from firing off? Effective move and props to them.

It was the match up that worried me the most before the game. And after the Wells touchdown I didn't feel very good. Thankfully it was fluke.

Certainly defines the need for more o-line love shown on the TFFL. But then crip would have to keep up and the po bastid is already overworked.

JL never made an impact play. He made all his tackles deep in the secondary and was more lost than one number 44 of ours in coverage. I think some of his rep was built on aj hawk. Hes ok not great it seems.
