Damn, that's not a bad idea. Ultimately I think we lose out on PP7's size advantage on guys like Julio Jones. Mathieu is a great playmaker but the few times he's had to man-up on the outside he's given up a few completions just based on not being that tall.

I'd love to see Reid and Loston rotate in a bit more. Hatcher and Taylor are both sound tacklers but are limited in terms of creating turnovers.

This is the most talented team that LSU has ever had, except for the QB position.

My impression of Loston is that he's on the field a lot, but he doesn't make many plays. Now to be fair, people don't try to throw the ball deep on us that often, and maybe that's because CL is getting into good position early and QB's aren't testing him. That's something that doesn't show up on the TV screen.

I'm not as down on the o-line as some of you. We've run the ball well for the most part, and in pass blocking, well, I think an indecisive, slow-through-his-progressions quarterback will make a line appear worse than it really is.

Overall, the thing that disappoints me about the team is the penalties, many of which seem to come from lack of discipline. This has been a problem ever since CLM got here. For the first couple of years, we executed well enough play after play to overcome them. Now (and we're back to poor QB play, I guess), too many drives get killed by one penalty.

    i'd actually reverse that.

PP can jam and be physical off the line of scrimmage, and with the tyrannosaurus's knack for being around the ball, he'd make a great FS. his instincts are incredible for a freshman.
