if the rumors of the players fighting a Marine are true, then I sincerely hope that all involved are kicked off the team, even if the Marine was being an a-hole.

They should have been buying the Marines drinks, talking him down and thanking them for his service and allowing the prima donna football players the freedom to play a game and not facing bullets or being brought home in a coffin.

How would they know he was a Marine? It's not like he was there in his dress blues. I really don't understand why the whole Marine angle is relevant.

If he was running his mouth he gets what he has coming regardless of his status with the armed forces.

Maybe the Marine should've known not to throw rocks at men with machine guns.

I'm not sure where he came from with that. I posted something from 20 years ago, just something that happened. I could fill the board with stories about fist fights I'd been in as a youngen. Not sure how that makes me a baddazz cause I certainly don't fight anymore and haven't for a long time, and regret every one I did get in. Unfortunately I had a hot head and was in a lot. Fortunately I was either pretty good at it or just very lucky.:hihi:

supa, that story has already been debunked by brpd per rosetta.

it is josh johns, not josh downs, and they have been asked to come in for questioning on monday to tell their side. they are wanted for questioning only for now.

This is just a post on the Net but it could be the beginning of what we will be looking at on Monday - thanks for the link to some info if not solid info.

Four LSU players including starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson will be taken in police custody Monday, according to a SportsNOLA.com source with the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Jefferson and numerous teammates were allegedly involved in a fight early Friday morning outside of Shady's, an off-campus bar. Four people were injured in the incident and are reportedly pondering legal action.
"Whatever legal proceedings that are ongoing we will cooperate with and see how that all figures," said LSU head coach Les Miles in a press conference earlier Saturday. "I know that (the police) are still gathering information and at the appropriate time we will take strong action."
The news comes two weeks before LSU, ranked 4th in the preseason coaches and AP polls, faces 3rd-ranked Oregon in the season opener at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, TX.
Jefferson and redshirt offensive tackle Chris Davenport face second degree battery charges while junior starting defensive tackle Josh Downs and freshman wide receiver Jarvis Landry will be charged with simple battery.
If found guilty of second degree battery, Jefferson and Davenport could face as serious a punishment as three to five years in prison and up to a $2,000 fine.
None players in this case have previous criminal records and are unlikely to face the most severe potential sentences if convicted. Downs and Landry would likely receive community service and probation if found guilty.
The arrests will likely lead to suspensions to the foursome. Jefferson has been the starting quarterback of the Tigers since late in his freshman season.

go back to bed. it's far from solid info. they have been asked to report for questioning, to tell their side of the story.

the story has already been debunked by brpd. at least for now.
