JD Lott and Mark Snyder gone. Snyder because of knee injury, not sure what happened with JD.

Look out USC, here we come.

Hello isl, we just moved up one spot in the final class standings next Feb.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Hate to hear that those two are gone. I thought Snyder would have a bright future on the OL, but I guess his knee didn't come around. Wish him the best in the future.

Wish Lott would have stayed too. Would have thought he would have competed at TE and been a Special Teams type. Didn't he have some issues before the season though? Seems I read somewhere that he almost left the team once before. Is he transferring or just quitting?

Will these two schollies definitely count for this year? Not sure how all that works. Also, guess they could be given to a non-scholarship player who has earned it in the coaching staffs eyes. Anyway, I hope life works out for them. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Survival of the fittest in a sense. It isn't always compassionate, but it helps the team as a whole. I wonder how many more spots will open up by the time we start signing a new class? It isn't a secret we expect to sign less than 25 in a good year for in state talent and some attrition of our weakest players will benefit us.

Snyder had a lot of potential but knee problems.

JD Lott almost left last year, but stuck around to compete for more PT. He obviously didn't get enough to satsify him. IMO, this means we should feel pretty good about at least one of our RS freshmen TE's though.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Will those two scholarships now be available for the 2009 class? Should would be nice if they are. Is that the way it will work Parso? If so, two more slots will contribute to a potentially super class for '09 becoming down right awesome!!!! :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

85 scholarships total, no more than 25 in one year. If the 85 total was the limiting factor then yes those two are available. If LSU could have signed 25 even without those two it really doesn't help.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Thanks for the info. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out between now and next Feb.! :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Yes, 2 more available for the '09 class, which brings us up to 15.
