BOT: Breaking: Ball expected to join LSU staff Dawgs247 Staff Report - 67 minutes ago Georgia receivers coach Tony Ball is expected to accept an offer to become the new receivers coach at LSU, sources have told Dawgs247. Sources said Friday morning that a move for Ball -- while not yet officially announced by LSU -- appears set to happen and that he intends to take an opportunity to join the Tigers' staff, barring any change of heart or snag in the process. Ball is confirmed to have interviewed earlier this week at LSU along with other candidates for the job. He would become the third UGA offensive assistant coach to leave the staff in recent months, joining former coordinator Mike Bobo and O-Line coach Will Friend, each of whom went to Colorado State. Ball joined UGA's staff from Virginia Tech in Feb. 2006 as running backs coach before moving to the receivers in Jan. 2009. His salary at UGA this past season was in the $260,000 range, while the former WR coach at LSU made well more than $300,000.
