Some speculation on the next WR coach. http://www.andthevalleyshook.com/20...tball-wr-coach-adam-henry-san-francisco-49ers .
Something from that write-up TT: "Henry had turned down opportunities with Florida and Texas A&M in recent weeks." Now they tell us.
Congrats to Former LSU Player Ben Wilkerson, he has gotten a job with the Bears, Asst OL Coach. The Saints have hired a WR coach, at one time, Tyke Tolbert was one of the names being up for the job. More hires by the Saints: http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2015/02/new_orleans_saints_add_new_coa.html
So the Saints have an active rooster of 53 players, and a 24 person coaching staff. That's almost 2 to 1 player/coach relationship. Damn!!!
I was reading the article and list of coaches, and was thinking the same thing. That's a lot of coaches. Making moves to win it all - starting top down.
Many teams have 2 OL coaches, one for the passing game, and one for the run game. Look at college, the number of coaches with 85 players and a number of Walkons.
Talk about moves, Bob Stoops has just about replaced his entire staff. Only 2 positions will be coached by the same guys as last year.
A number of GA's, Video guys, etc., here is most of the staff, you'll see O wouldn't even stop for a pic. http://www.lsusports.net/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=5200&SPID=2164&SPSID=28715 This is one guy that doesn't get the Press, but does a great job... http://tigerrag.com/LSU-football-re...n-thomas-talent-is-assembling-talented-pieces
Nice writeup, good coach: Another day and another name surfaces in LSU's search for a wide receivers coach. Former NFL standout Keenan McCardell, currently Maryland's wide receivers coach, will be in Baton Rouge on Thursday interviewing for the same position with Tigers coach Les Miles and his staff, according to sources. McCardell's resume includes a stint as the Washington Redskins' wide receivers coach from 2010-12. He joined Maryland's staff in 2014. McCardell played 17 seasons in the NFL, amassing 883 receptions, 11,373 yards and 63 touchdowns, which led to Pro Bowl nominations in 1996 and 2003. He also won two Super Bowls, one with the Redskins and another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although the sample size is limited, McCardell has developed a reputation as a promising recruiter. He also was born in talent-rich Houston, a prime recruiting area for LSU. McCardell is the second coach to interview for the position vacated when Adam Henry left to join the San Francisco 49ers last weekend. Georgia wide receivers coach Tony Ball interviewed with LSU on Wednesday. *********** Follow @JimmyDetail Tweet to @JimmyDetail
