    Texas TECH  !!!!

Have to say I didn't see that one coming. Also, the article stated that Shankle committed to the Red Raiders as well......

Now, the article is all via what Shankle is saying--and there's no direct quotes from Hewitt, but I think it's safe to say this news makes Perish Cox's decision all the more meaningful.

With Hewitt evidently off the board, if we lose Cox..... ...Well, if we lose out on Cox, then my confidence in landing Jai also takes a hit....

And not it becomes evident why the staff backed off both of them...wishy washy. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Tt offered their 3rd friend Roberts a ship to get them over the top.

I hope we get Cox, also the coaches seem really high on Jake Jones & Jason Teague at CB. Kind of a shame about Hewitt, sounded like he really liked LSU, but IMO, LSU didn't seem really excited about Shankle..

I agree with you. I think we're very high on Jake Jones (former high school WR turned CB--not uncommon a find, but if they understand the game well enough, their experience is valuable) and Teague. Both could be good players for us.

Hewitt would have been a nice addition as well, but like you mentioned, we didn't seem too thrilled with Shankle--and with good reason--we already had/or were very close to getting Richard Murphy and Charles Scott--both of which are better than Shankle. Throw in hopefully signing Keiland Williams and with those 3, Antonio Robinson and RJ Jackson, we're SET for 3-4 years! (and we also have Alley and JV back for next season).

Was there some doubt as to the meaning of my post? I am completely unsure. :thumb:

If aforementioned RB never took another handoff at LSU I would not be upset.
