Is Porter taking a greyshirt or not joining the team? from what I read, he is not joining the team at all.
Also Fordham had no issues with this arrangement and is going to be with the team. Porter on the other hand did not take it well and may be released.
I figured out why I was confused. They changed the SEC rule once and then added on another rule in May which states you can't count anyone back if you have 85 on scholarship the previous year. This rule really sucks for walk-ons because they are usually the guys who get one year scholarships when under the 85 man limit. Now you will see teams not offering these spots up so they can take more than 25 in some classes.
Rivals screwed this up royally trying to break the story unlike other sources who said not to say anything before the situations were worked out. Now word is Cam will not be asked to greyshirt and will be on full scholarship. Porter was asked to greyshirt and sources are saying he is likely staying but still up in the air. That means someone else will be asked to greyshirt.
Well Wing is the logical choice...right? :lol: I could see him not grayshirting though. Coaches might not be too comfortable with Helton this year and see what they have with Wing. That way they know if they should take two Punters in two classes.
