I have seen questions about the academic issues that Shomari Clemons might not Qualify. Anybody know how he is looking on becoming eligible ?

Also any of our others still trying to qualify ?

Would really like to see us finish this class strong.

These last commits will make the difference of good or make it great.

Last I remember reading, was that he COULD finish up eligible--but that it would be close.

Going back to an article on Rivals on July 24th (the day Clemons committed), he was quoted as saying that:

The article also went on to say:

To me, that last quote would indicate that he might not be in bad shape--and that as long as he had passing grades (meaning he didn't need to finish with a 4.0 on the year), and a passing ACT, that he would be ok.

just is beyond me how kids who are taking geometry in 12 grade can get past college algebra...

One of Saban's recruiting strong points was his focus on signing academically-eligible athletes. I hope Coach Miles continues that tradition. It does not do much good to recruit a top class if half of them are ineligigle to play.

If Miles does like Archer and recruits kids who can't get in or stay in school he will end up just like Mike. Gone. It looks like a solid class and Miles said we should finish in the top 5 nationally. There's no telling about those "sure bet" recruits that are left uncommitted, but it seems Les has a good vibe coming from them.
