I believe that good fascilities like LSU has for it's student athletes helps more of these players with previous academic hardships--even in high school. While the fact remains that sometimes, college just isn't for everyone and occassionally, the player that had trouble in high school, will certainly fall flat on his face in college, BUT, some of these recruits come from high schools that perhaps don't have the resources to help them--or perhaps they come from really bad situations--and it takes getting out of those situations, such as moving from a bad neighborhood and into a college setting where teammates just might be closer to them than their own families.
