If O goes 7-1 it's going to be a tough sell to bring anyone else in but Jimbo which I think died on the vine. I say 6-2 give O a turn at the wheel. Let him get an OC and find a qb. Right now he's stuck playing the cards Elmer dealt him. You want to be mad, be mad at the administration for not having the nuts to fire that stammering bastard last November.

I was unaware of this, so I'll agree that he's a bad fit if this is the case. Can we at least agree that if we retain O, we need a very good offensive coordinator?

Since Aranda has the defense running on all cylinders and even getting excellent LB play and O is a defensive coach, he brings little to the table other than he is able to motivate the players and is a great fit for LSU. I would prefer to retain him but it would be contingent on an excellent offensive coordinator; I can't think of anyone who is available save maybe Art Briles who we don't want. The alternative is going with someone like Herman and picking up an offensive coordinator that will take a back seat.
