100% agree here. Worst case scenario this game was 3-0. The blatant miss hold was difficult to swallow.

I still say give eaux the job and get a new o line coach and oc.

First we need to get a new tiger, then worry about a coach. Priorities fellows!

 

The defense was fantastic and deserve all the credit in the world. The game plan and execution was terrefic until Bama made adjustments and decide to use Hurts to run and provide him options to run pass and LSU didn't contain him.
The offense was like Miles took over and made no adjustments ton play calling.

OL can't hold the rush for more than 2-3 seconds and is not being successful power I formation run plays.

So why do we keep running LF7 in I form and throwing 25 yd passes?

 

The interception should have given us points but we wasted that opportunity, the non hold call gave them 7 instead of three, and the offsetting penalty killed the only scoring drive we had, so yes the officials had a little to do with the scoreboard. At worst, without crucial penalties or non calls, these two offenses score 6 points each or some variation of depending on kickers. Typical LSU/Bama game. The reason we come out on the short end is O line play. Bama pushed the LOS 3-5 yards back on almost every play. Fix that issue and it's still close but we might be on the winning side.

 

Got to say, with a limited QB, Bama's offense was as productive as it should have been against our D, which is legit. It's so annoying that our offense was worse than theirs.

 

I agree, it was very frustrating watching the same issue. Bama has a more physical OL than LSU. Plain and simple. Add to that a true freshman outplayed Etling, who was extremely rattled all game. At the end of the day I'm proud of the team. They fought hard against the best team in the country.

 

This... Coach o has them ready last night... Fact is our o line needed to be a lot better and qb play needs to be a lot better... Neither can improve mid season... It will take recruiting and better coaching... I think O can/will get us both... We know he can recruit with the best of them... That leaves going out and getting a better o coordinator... We played the number 1 team (and refs) to 0-0 into the 4th quarter... Piggies up next... Let's not let bama best us twice...

 

If Eaux crashes and burns then he ain't the guy for the job. Hope he stays on unless he can get a good HC gig somewhere else if it don't work out here.
