As if the commentators of "the granddaddy of them all" were not bad enough, SportsCenter this morning turned every discussion topic into a USC discussion- Sanchez and Carroll Carroll to the NFL Does USC deserve to be in the title game? USC domination... Forgive me vball but domination is keeping your opponent in a choke hold... not letting them score in the 2nd quarter to retain their "pride." Question- What does the two fingers in the air have to do with "fight on?" Looks like bunny ears to me... "Little bunny fofo when hopping through the forest, scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head..."
I have always wished the SEC, Big 12 and ACC would pull out of the NCAA and say look people we have a legitimate system where we determine conference champion by playoff. The three champions meet in a playoff for one "at-large" team (like #2 Tennessee the year LSU beat them for the Sugar and knocked them out of the title game). It would be hard to argue that is not a real on-the-field champion and our champion would quickly be seen as THE National Champion. I mean what kind of joke would it be the first time Cincinnati or Utah or even Oregon State beat Ohio State for the BCS title.
AP has USC #5, BCS has USC #5. I don't see them jumping to #1 over OU, UF, UT, and Bama. That would mean that each of the preceding four teams would have to lose and that's impossible since OU and UF play each other (one has to win). I know it's possible for the AP to do what they did with LSU in '03, but USC wasn't coming from the #5 spot then. (USC was ranked #1 and LSU #2 by the AP going into the Bowl games in 2003.) Not to mention that USC beat #8 Penn State. That would have to be more impressive than #4 Bama beating #6 Utah, #1 OU vs #2 UF, and/or #3 Texas and #10 Ohio St. Good thread, but it would be a crime for them to split the championship with USC this year.
Did I miss it or was LSU in a bcs bowl game? 7 in a row for the TROJANS of Southern Cal. SC has gone out to SEC land and spanked you guys around. Stop with the hatin, it's not southern hospitality like. Besides, when Tebow plays it will be another lovefest on Fox. Fight on
Playing in the PAC 10 gets you enough wins for a BCS bowl every year, play in another conference and you wouldn't sniff BCS. Also when is the last time the condoms played a bowl game that wasn't in their home stadium? If USC wasn't in the largest media market in the US they would be treated much like Boise State, Utah, Hawaii and other small schools whose entire schedule is made up of cream puffs.
Kinda hard to make BCS bowl games every year when 4 or 5 teams we play tend to be ranked higher than 15 but we do have :crystal::crystal: to show for it this decade.
I quit watching the Rose about halfway into the second quarter. I though Musberger was going to gag on the pole that is USC. I absolutly hate when announcers can't be unbiased...
