Actually, the freshman WR's, Malcom Mitchell and Chris Conley, have played like veterans this year. Other than your aforementioned TE Orson Charles, Murray doesn't seem to have any favorite receivers; he spreads it around a lot. Flankers Michael Bennett and Tavarres King have had exceptional seasons as well. Having said that, I don't see any scenario where UGA can win this game. They are not the same team that lost to Boise and USCe, they've gotten much better, but LSU would have to come out almost brain dead to get beaten by them, and that just ain't gonna happen. This LSU team is the most talented college football team I've seen in a long time and except for the hiccup in the first quarter last week, they come in and take care of business. Georgia was kinda' getting its mojo back, but this game may set them back some next year. I think it's gonna be ugly.
And with that logic our 3rd stringer is better than Murray since he threw 30'something last season and took his team to a JUCO NC, and was on route to be the starter at UGA before leaving the program.
Leaving? Richt kicked him off the team and he wasn't good enough to get any playing time. Also pay attention to key words such as JUCO National Championship that they PLAYED in but did not win. Most SEC team's 3rd string QBs could put up great numbers in community college too.
Miles said Reid will likely play ... Georgia will be a handful ... especially if LSU & JJ show up STUPID in the start of the 1st and 3rd quarters ... like we did against Arkansas Zero first downs in the first quarter :dis: 3 points when inside the ten yard line on the 1st 2 drives of qtr 3 :dis: I hope Miles really got on their arses in that film room this week! We need to come out like Tigers & make a quick kill No pussy-footin' around!!!
Just heard Mike Detillier say that Aaron Murray is "by FAR the best quarterback the LSU Defense has seen all year." I respect Mike D. and have seen alot of his predictions come true all season long. I was a little concerned at first until I realized that.... THE LSU D IS BY FAR THE BIGGEST, BADDEST & FASTEST DEFENSE that Aaron Murray has ever seen. EVER. Now I'm encouraged again. And I still say he turns the ball over 3x in this game.... GEAUX!
After the 2008 Peach Bowl Mike D. predicted the next time LSU hoisted the crystal ball Jordan Jefferson would be holding it over his head.
Short memory. Mett was beating out Murray that spring. You wouldn't be saying he could not pkayokay if he was still on the team.
