"Hebron, a Gaithersburg, Md., native, was a Parade All-American out of Good Counsel High School." http://onlineathens.com/stories/042807/football_20070428055.shtml kicked out of school for two underage drinking violations--new UGA policy. at least it aint pot or 'roids. we're getting thin on backers arent we?
Yea, we need some LBs. I can't read the story without registering. Did he get into school & then get kicked out? Or was he not accepted by that screening process they have? I definitely wouldn't mind getting him, but LSU hasn't been real big on getting transfers. The only ones we've got were kids from La that wanted to come back home. He'll probably end up at Ole Miss.
This article just says he was suspended for the year, not kicked off the team. "Hebron agreed Monday to the terms of the suspension, which is to be lifted in January, but he will be on probation until Dec. 15, 2009. Any other alcohol-related infraction could get him expelled." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/05/08/georgia.suspension.ap/index.html
sorry. he's off the team bc he's not in school anymore. new university policy kicks you out after two underage drinking violations. dont know how this affects eligibility---maybe he can go to another d1a school without losing a year. or maybe he wants to go a school that wont kick him out for drinking.
The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported that he was "suspended" from the team and school for ONE year. He's not kicked off.
But Hebron's suspension came from breaking the SAME INFRACTION MULTIPLE times. Sorry...former All-American or not, I don't want to reward a player by giving him yet ANOTHER chance only to feed his ego and perhaps lead him to practice even worse behavioral patterns in Baton Rouge.
he's a stupid 19yr old. not too uncommon. this wasnt dui, or battery or burglary. its probably not even as bad as jordan with the steroids. i forget, did lsu kick him out? you think he's a bad seed because he's underage and he drinks? clm should clean house then.
No...I don't want him because he broke his team's rule/policy multiple times and has shown he can't follow the rules...reguardless of how trivial of a rule it was/is that he broke.
He has to humble himself and make amends to his team if he is to learn from this. Going somewhere else would not be doing him or his new team any favors.
ok, now i get it. you dont get it. he wasnt suspended from the team. he didnt really break team rules (at least that hasnt been part of the story). he broke separate university rules. he's out of school. so, i think its possible that he can enroll at another school and play ball immediately. but the ncaa probably has the rules covered here to screw the "student".
