All that may be true but you have probably seen who polluted the skies are in some places like Los Angeles andeven Denver where the pollutants are trapped by the mountains. It's much worse in the industrial cities of China and other emerging industrial economies around the world. Those are man made pollutants caused by manufacturing, refining and automobiles. Add that to the fact that in Brazil they are chopping down vast areas of the rainforests for lumber. One forth of the world's oxygen is pretty by the rainforests. CO2 might be a good thing in the proper percentage of the atmosphere but in case you don't know human beings can't breathe CO2.

I don't side with the whacko environmentalist tree huggers but there is a problem and the only way to solve it is through a rational scientific approach without being attached to anybody's political agenda.

    So we probably are doomed.

    as I suspected, you're a petrol-industry propagandist
yeah right,.. and the Dr's who worked for the tobacco industry and claimed cigarettes aren't harmful, they had to tell the truth too

The pollution along the Front Range has decreased in the last 20 - 30 years. I don't need a scientific study to tell me that. My two eyes tell me.

that's true in Los Angeles as well, the smog now is nothing compared to what it was when I lived down there in the early '70s. They really tightened up the pollutant regulations there and it helped a lot. Thank god for our tree huggers

Like @Bengal B said, it's the emerging industrial countries and India and China that are the worst polluters and environmental threats.

I haven't been in either city in at least 20 years. It was pretty bad when I was there. I have driven through Birmingham AL a few times in the last few years. Even though I never get off the interstate every time I do my eyes start burning and watering until I clear the city.

We are not doomed. What would doom us is letting liberals scare us into "going green" eliminating fossil fuels to save the planet. 3 dealy issues with that

    1. China, Russia and Iran would act like they would go along and wouldn't and would attack us with fossil fueled based weapons and destroy us.
    2. Cheap abundant energy would be gone and we would be at the mercy of the sun and wind. The middle class would be taxed out of existence and we would have the ruling class and the poor. Millions would die especially in developing countries because of this insane idea.
    3. When the next ice age comes and believe me it will sun and wind energy will practically come to a halt and we are screwed.

BTW local pollution is the opposite of climate.

    You are not unreachable and haven't drank the lefts coolaid about the climate like COTiger has so here are 4 questions;

1.Why does the UN, the left, the democrats and the wacko environmentalist always want taxes and money to cure this nonexistent problem?
    2. What caused the last ice age to start to end 127,000 years ago was it man, the fossil fuel industry, automobiles or cow farts?
    3. Does it frighten you maybe a little bit that a number of democrat politicians and leftists so called scientist are recommending imprisonment for global warming deniers?
    4. Do you think the politicians and people who are pushing for us to live without fossil fuels with meager necessities to save the planet will live that kind of life with us?

Could give many many other questions but this is a good start

Pretty weak response there duck. In order to find where to drill for fossil fuels these scientists I mentioned have to know when it was deposited and what the climate was like throughout the earths 4.5 billion year history. I know you are used to fake science because you live in the wacky NW but these real scientist can't afford to recommend fake science to the oil and gas companies they work for. Pretty un thoughout answer.

BTW when are you going to give up you car, your lawnmower, your airplane and train rides, your backyard grill, get rid of you AC and move to a tiny house to make Al Gore proud? He will leave from his 24,000 sq ft house get in one of his 4 SUV's drive to his G5 airplane land in Oregon get in a huge limousine to drive to your house to thank you for your good work If you do.
