I said this in another post. had Crowton gotten JJ in there EARLIER worked with him, maybe spell him with LEE instead of play LEE 100%, then maybe we would have won two more games. JJ should have been playing on the run plays or more. let him play for the 5-20 plays he knew, mix it up, learn a few new plays EACH week. he could have been starting by TU LANE. Myave have him play a series or two in the early games.

a mobile QB will give a Defense trouble even with a limited playbook. and HAD he been playing EARLY the play book might not be that limited by week 9.

AND MAYBE JUST maybe HE would have been in there throwing INSTEAD of LEE during a couple of the poor decisions LEE made and JUST what if WHAT if...... we had not given away those points to JAW JUH! or what if the INT never happened in OT agaisnt BaMA :shock: WE'D BE ACTUALLY IN THE POLLS? :hihi:

    then again...

WHAT IF ..... IFS AND BUTS WERE CANDY AND NUTS WE'D ALL HAVE A FREAKIN MERRY CHRISTMAS!

this year. that's all that counts. remember what that bama fan told me? bringing up the "past" is frowned upon here. then he insulted me saying i didn't know how to read.

No, the DC mess BEGAN when he promoted...not hired...Mallory and Peveto. They were already on-staff, and CLM went with a tried and true axiom: when things are going well, you promote from within. 2 mistakes were made; not choosing one -- either one -- over the other, and not having both work as position coach/coordinators. And agreed, they were terrible decisions.

But you're talking about the only coach in 100+ years of LSU football to win 10 or more games in consecutive seasons....and he did it 3 times! Not to mention a National Championship! Now you're ready to run him after one sub-par (but still above .500) season? I don't know what you do for a living, but if you're in management, I pity the poor souls that work for you.

Whoa, get a grip on yourself and take a deep breath. If you do a search of all the posts I've ever made here, including those before & after the Bama-LSU game, you'll see that I've never flamed anyone anytime. It was a reasonable question and nobody else took it as anything other than that. I know you've had a bad day with the loss, but don't assume every post is a flame, OK?

He tried to keep continuity for the sake of having the same system in place with 7 returning starters and Perrilloux at QB, and for that I can not blame him. Many of us who realized that this defense was never the best, hoped that may be there would be some tweaking to where it was more aggressive, but that did not happen. In fact, it became apparent that they could not gameplan well, nor make the proper adjustments. And yes despite our rankings, we had a mediocre Defensive scheme. Everyone had a gameplan after the second half of the SC game last year, but our offense and providence got us through. If we face a true spread team, or one that can both run and throw we have been in trouble. If we face a conventional offense (SC, State, Bama) we play a whole lot better. I see the logic in what Les tried to do, it failed miserably, but mostly because Lee gave the opposition 49 pts, which resulted in atleast 2 losses. Take those out, and the case could be made to keep these 2 @ 9-3. As long as the new DC scheme is not rush 4 drop 7, we will see a dramatic change next year, especially with a very favorable schedule. If he doesn't make the change...you can start the countdown clock...2 more years tops. This is his first big test IMO, and from the comments he has made I believe he will pass it! :thumb:

I just hope it is sooner not later, it would be great to be able to make the change now, and have the time up to the bowl game installing the new system to give us even more time to get ready for next year. AU did it last year, but either way I trust CLM until I see otherwise with this decision. :geauxtige

Which comments, specifically? Seems to me he praises the defense's effort and schemes every week. After Jevan Snead played pitch and catch vs. LSU, CLM said, "We had him running for his life."

Yep, sounds like he's on top of it.

Up until the past two weeks I've said that's a pretty weak argument. But, man, it's hard to think Miles has been nothing more than a caretaker.

Just the one's based on complete and contrary subjectivity. Since you've made so many posts here you already know this is not tigerdroppings and roughly .01% of our posters give any credence to that theory. BTW, I pulled that figure right out of my azz, just like Gump's do with the "Saban's players" theory. I think Bama will be the one trying to get a grip after FU stomps that azz and they bemoan losing the SECCG with Shula's players.

    "Have a great day!"

Twice this week...once on radio after the game he spoke of changing the necessary components to get us back to Championships.

So as a fellow Memphian i guess you dont want to hangout before the Liberty Bowl? :D
