It is already time to clean house. Pay out the millions and start from scratch before LSU becomes Mississippi State. Coaching lost the game. Disgracefully. Missed tackles = coaching Blown coverages = coaching Stupid penalties = coaching Lack of improvement by DBs = coaching Inability to run the football vs. the worst run defense in the SEC = coaching Total lack of toughness = coaching Blowing a 30-14 lead to Arkansas = coaching Squeezing into a crappy bowl that you're going to lose = coaching Hiring Peveto and Mallory as DC's = coaching Starting Jarrett Lee all year over Jefferson = coaching 3-5 in the SEC = coaching
Guys the best thing about this season is with out a doubt we will get a new defensive staff, something we've needed for a few seasons now. I think it might have took something like this to really put an end to the cluster phuck we have now. I am excited to think what our future defense will look like with an agressive new DC. As bad as it is now it will get alot better fast.
This is 2002 all over again. A great start to the season and then the QB play falls off sharply (in 02 it was because Mauck got hurt). We lost the 02 game to Arky the exact same way with under 30 seconds to play (21-20 vs 31-30). We were 8-4 then and lost to Texas to end up 8-5, but it feels so much the same.
Pitiful, just pitiful coaching effort and evaluations of players! Jefferson should have been playing all year, but handcuffing him in the second half today was the worst, most gutless example of coaching I've seen in quite a while! Texsport
I hope you're right. Sometimes it takes a total meltdown like this to right the ship. As others have said, the wheels started to fall off this D last year in the SC game. Thankfully we won when needed to and had some divine intervention to boot to get us into the National Championship game. The D fortunately had one more great game in them vs Ohio St. Our expectations for sure were unrealistic for this year given everything that happened. None of us expected 7-5 though... That is inexcusable given the success of the last several years. I think Les is smart to realize what needs to be done. :geauxtige
Yep, Baton Rouge we have a problem. We're getting ready to find out alot about Miles. Its not how you fall, its how you get up.
I agree. He didn't give them any reason to turn it off. He was hitting his receivers, making great run reads, and pretty much giving the defense fits for a good part of the first half. Miles turned it off. No doubt in my mind it was Miles. Crowton has an Urban Myer mentality of no mercy. Miles is a puppy dog.
Yeah, well get ready for 7-6. I haven't been down on this program, really since the 1990s. But I feel just sick right now. Even with the whole Perriloux fiasco, this is a complete disaster on our hands. And to the poster above, I hope that Miles cleans house with the defensive coaches, but I've read here time and time again that Miles is loyal to his assistants to a fault. It sounds more like he'd fall on the sword for them rather than give them the axe. I got a bad feeling right now. :angryfire
Go back to 1999 season 3-8 . have not lost more than 4 ( not including a bowl game) in the 2000's......
