:geaux: I continue to be amazed why LSU hasn't hired you as HC already, or at the very least OC. :rolleye33: You're obviously a football genius and have absolutely ALL the answers to everything. Alleva should be calling you shortly, I'm sure. :LSU231:

Correct, because even though LSU won 9 games last year, and the defense and special teams have been dramatically improved, AND the offense is slightly better, the team won't be better as a whole. :rolleye33:

Bama..is not as good as everyone thinks...stop the run you win...that's what this defense does best....but we need to concentrate on stopping
    wvu first

yea can't complain about lack of yds on offense. Pretty much every possession was on their side of the field.

We just have to score tds instead of fgs.

:geaux: The biggest complaint that I had on the night, but still better than coming up empty. Jasper is a great weapon and I'm glad he's at LSU. I would like to see some quick slants over the middle with the TE or Shep though. :LSU231:

    this i agree with.
no reason to go completely conservative in red zone.

I was curious if you could be more specific about the playcalling. I watched the whole game and thought that the playcalling was better. I know it was conservative in the second half, when we were up 19, but I think that they thought it was important to get a field goal and take a 22 point lead. What are your thoughts?

    BTW, congrats to the tigers!

Sure. JJ completed 10 of 16 passes. There was a point in the game when it was 2nd and 16, and they ran the ball. That was in the first half. THAT'S the problem with this offense. They are the scared ones...whoever it is that is calling a run on 2nd and 16. Throw the damn ball.

But don't take me the wrong way. I am very pleased with the game tonight. I love defense and special teams, and this is a fun team to watch. I'm excited about the future of this team with all the youngsters.

Jake Locker was 4-20 today. Perspective, right? I thought JJ played well tonight. I have no problem with how he played...both with his arm and his feet. It's easy for the naysayers to find SOMETHING that wasn't perfect...but I'm impressed so far by the TEAM as a whole.

But Bama can win the NCG with GMac throwing for 56 yds? It's a team game. I don't know of any team that has it ALL together right now. Bama and tOSU are clearly ahead of the pack, but I think both are beatable. In fact, I know both are beatable.
