Unfortunately I don't see it for two reasons. First, I don't see anyone getting through the SEC unscathed. Second, the human polls carry too much weight so the condoms aren't going to be left out. Oklahoma will get the shaft because of past losses in BCS games.

It was a nice article from the Times, but I agree with you and I am surprised this wasn't mentioned in that piece. Maybe it'll be raining for that Oregon State game in Oregon and that will trip up the condoms. Otherwise, I don't know what in the Pac-1 would cause them to slip at this point. :dis:

USC is always in this position. This is the reason I hate the arguments about OOC schedules. I understand the want for good OOC games. But, look at the lack of conference parity. USC takes the rank of number 1 and will stay there largely based on ONE OOC win. Then, they skate through the conference. I have said it in many threads and will say it again. The cupcake OOC matchups exist for a lot of reasons. But one of those is...NO conference parity. USC is a good team, but we won't know how good until the BCSCG. Ridiculous.:cuss::dis::insane:

What I hope for the most is that we somehow go undefeated, and get shut out of the NC game. That'd be quite a controversy.

Usually, they get complacent and lose to a Pac-10 opponent or two. But if they make it to the BCS they WILL be playing a worthy opponent and they had better strap it on.

Did I read that right? You want us to go undefeated and get shut out of the BCSNC game? Why in the hell would you want that?

It is so tough, SEC Champ will probably have 1 loss at the end of the year. Our best hope is that everyone in the Big 12 ends up with a loss. Then it would be hard to bypass the SEC.
I think the other conferences will end up with a one loss champ, except for USC, but you never know. I will get to see them up close next month so I will have a better opinion then. The good news is if they get 1 loss, it will be to an unranked team whereas an SEC team with one loss will probably be to a top 10 team. This is the only justice we have against the Crap-10.

que? How about we go undefeated and shut out USC in the big game?

Bottom line is this - If an SEC team miraculously goes undefeated in this day and age, there's NO WAY they get snubbed for the National Championship. There's too much respect for our conference built up over the last several years (after Auburn).
