Dude and Sabanfan. Take a deep breath. We'll be back. Our guys have to mature. It takes some time. Maybe our defensive coordinators aren't taking into account that our corners are young, our safeties not experienced. They'll get better and then hanging them one on one while we blitz will work. When Lee figures that there are other receivers open, then it will work. It's his first year. Perhaps his last but we'll improve with age. Our inexperience is showing. It makes everyone unhappy but there is a time to go "oh well" and hope we can win other games. Getting bent out of shape on a rebuilding year will give us ulcers. I will keep rooting for them.
Not a Florida fan but you swing a couple of plays here and there and they are not a 4 loss team and the same could be said of LSU. A couple of gutsy plays go bust and we are the 4 loss team. Just beat Bama B
Don't lump me with the after-loss screamers. I am as calm as can be but I call it like I see it. Blame is deserved but people that condense 51 point losses down to one aspect will get dissent from me. I absolutely see changes coming. But I also expected this team to have 3 losses before I even saw them play this year. We beat Auburn(barely), everyone got high and started thinking we should repeat. Totally unrealistic. We will change, and win or lose more games this year. Next year will be different, as will the next. I am not worried. Say what you want, but the plays swung the way they did(as in, it's in the past), so Florida did lose 4 games last year, and LSU did win the NC last year. Don't bring that weak $hit(if...if....if) here. Florida won a NC, lost 4 games(with a Heisman winner), and this year are strong again. It's the cyclical way of life/football. Some times you are flush and sometimes you're bust. If our opponents mistakenly extrapolate a trend based on two games from this year, then life will be sad for them. LSU football will be in the thick for many years to come. :thumb: I am completely unworried.
As usual, you add nothing to a discussion but feel vindicated with your own private jokes. How cerebral of you. Would absolutely love to meet you in person.
This is a simple analysis. 1. Or so called young QB helped our offense score 38 points even though he turned the ball over three times. 2. Our so called vaunted D gave up 52 points. Take away turnovers and they still gave up 35 points You tell me where the problem lies. Every one new coming into the season that our D was going to have to help carry this team. They are not doing that. I think our O is playing fairly well for having a freshman QB playing.
Against BCS opponents for the last 14 games (starting with the South Carolinia game of last year) LSU is giving up a average of 29.8 ppg.. The five games this year we have given up 33 ppg. Last year (2007) starting with the South Carolinia game we gave up 28.1 ppg. Injuries have a lot to do with it i'm sure but those are just the facts.
