Ok, I live about 40 miles from USM, I also just got back from Texas so I have not had the pleasure into running into some of these USM fans, but I am sure that I will. I just want to know if anyone here thinks that they have a chance against Texas.

While I was in Texas, these USM fans were all over facebook. And they all seem to think that they are gonna beat Texas. In fact some of them think that they can win the National Title.

I just want to know what some of ya'll think. I will see some of these fans at a golf tournament this weekend so I just wanna know what to be able to tell them.

Texas hasn't exactly looked dominant lately.
USM is a team a lot like Fresno was last year. They should have never made it this far, so they're playing with house money. And that makes them more dangerous than they should be.

Sounds a lot like Virginia fans.

I went to USM. Partly because the scheduling that the football team does, we are used to cheering against much "superior" teams, and if we don't win, we at least usually make a very close game out of it.

A very high percentage of the school is from Louisiana or the Coast, so the scrappy Louisiana attitude is there. We aren't preppy and reserved like Ole Miss or Miss St fans.

I'll say it now that I am very confident that USM will not get swept out. If they don't go all the way, they will take someone out with them.

They lost too many good players to injury. Ask Ga. Tech and Florida. Don't underestimate them. Their best ss broke his collar bone. He has progressively healed. Not to the point of being able to make the throws he would need to at ss, but he can still swing a pretty good stick. They hope to have him there for the series.
