Not at all. He is entitled to have an opinion, just like everyone else. And like every other human being speaking outside his area of expertise you can expect his opinion to be worth a big pile of dog doo.

Let me ask a follow up question, if I may. Why in the hell do you care what Les Miles thinks about the natural disaster in the Gulf? What exactly is his opinion supposed to do? Educate you on the disaster?

I have an idea to reduce the discourse in this country to its last incoherent gail of utter nonsense. How about we run around asking people questions on subjects in which they have not one whit of training or expertise? How about that for a sensational piece of journalism? How enlightening!

How about next we corner the Artist Formerly Known As Prince and ask him to explain the nuances of the Bears 52 Defensive Scheme. That should be educational, shouldn't it?

What is wrong with you people? How can you place any importance whatsoever on a football coaches response to a asinine question about an oil spill? How?

Pretty harsh dude. Yet, here we are expressing our opinions on football and I would imagine the overwhelming majority of us have no formal training in it. We opine about Miles and the way he coaches all the time. Do you have formal training in that?

Perhaps you would agree to only talk about things here that you have been formally trained in?

It is obvious that your training was not in writing.

    Lighten up.

Point well delivered and well taken. Thank you for the coherent admonishment. I offer a full apology to those offended.

And regarding my opinions on LSU football....they are certainly not worth more than a big pile of....well, anyway....I'm cashing in my chips on this thread.

My thing about exhibit B is this. That's a hack "reporter" asking him that question, pretty much knowing he'll get some good laughs out of the answer. In fact, it's the same "reporter" that asked Tebow if he was saving himself for marriage. He's a hack, and the correct answer would have been "do you have a question about my damn strong football team"?:milesmic:

I don't care what his opionion is on the oil spill. However, the fact that the man can't put together a coherent sentence concerns me You wanted to know what Exhibit A was. Well that was the fact that fellow football coaches had no idea of what he was talking about in a speech.

The man wasn't asked for the best way to cap the well, that would require a degree in engineering. He was simply asked what the impact the spill had on LSU.

If he can't communicate a simple response to this question, why should I believe in the heat of battle that he can communicate strategy to his players?

But Miles doesn't have the intellect for that kind of answer. All that he can do is mumble and stumble around with his words (or thoughts or whatever the heck comes out of his mouth), making it sound as if he hasn't the foggiest idea about how he should answer a question... or where he's at.

It should be that obvious to us by now, shouldn't it?

    That he has no clue?
