Of course, and there was only one partially damage home from wind. AS far as getting back to the welcome wagon...I'm happy to be here

It is strange that late in the season we have seen many new faces. More than welcome, we look forward to y'all joining and staying with what I find to be the best forum on the net. Be sure to check out the other areas besides the Den, that is where you will get an idea of what separates TF from the others (really getting to know the other posters).

Welcome to all. I'm still new around here but it's really easy to make friends. Thanks, members of TF, for making it a fun place here... Most of the time :D

It's OK to strongly disagree with each other here, but the general rule is that when you're attacking the person and not his views. It happens a lot anyway but I've seen a few "sorry's" in the posts and there's probably more in the PM's.

It's not mandatory to apologize or expected. The main thing is not to take it too personally when someone rags you...even personal digs. SIU and Danthetigerfan are good at this.

We all should get together over a few beers with no problem...Kind of like Christmas at your in laws house .

All that being said, how does James Carville and his wife get along? They both must be tiger fans together together, I guess.:hihi:.

Nice thread Steve. I'm not a brand new poster but I have never introduced myself nor do I know any of my fellow posters. Our passion for LSU athletics is what binds us and since I no longer reside in Baton Rouge I live vicariously through all of you.

I lived in Baton Rouge from 1980-1998. Mostly in Kennilworth and Shenandoah. I attended LSU from 82-86 and majored in Marketing. I worked at OLOL hospital from 86-98 before leaving LA. I currently live in Albuquerque NM and work at a large hospital here.

I am sure that I am the only NM resident with a Purple and Gold room in his house. I have over 100 pieces of LSU memorabilia displayed. I have converted many of my co-workers to LSU fans and I frequently host parties for the televised games. I always make a jambalaya and a gumbo.

I was one of the nut cases that slept in a sleeping bag on the ramp of the Deaf Dome to assure myself of front row seats in the student section. This was in the days of Ricky Blanton,Don Redden,John Williams,Anthony Wilson and Derrick Taylor.

I flew in this year for the Auburn game (by far our best effort this year).
On the return trip to Abq I sat next to Trent Johnson on the flight from BR to Houston. He does'nt say much. LOL. But I got a great photo with him for my room at home.

Anyway I can't say enough good things about the forum and it is a pleasure to read all the opinions and stay informed. I also get plenty of good info from Dandy Don's site. Thanks again! :geaux:

Let's hope all the new folks hang around when times are good too, not just when we have controversial times. The more posters the better.

Thanks for the welcome post stevescookin, I will have to say that in my many years of reading this site I do not recall reading a welcome post. I usually refuse to post and have to disagree with your opinion of "mature" posters on this board, lol, but I will say that it is better than most forums. Seems to me that if you are not with the popular opinion you will be slammed no matter what so it is generally better to read and just not post. I live in Birmingham, AL transplanted from Baton Rouge roughly 15 years ago so having a thick skin is certainly not the issue. Living with the Auburn/Bama crowd is somewhat of an experience 365 days a year. So anyway, even if you don't see me post it does not mean I am not reading.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
