My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi.
My wife is from McComb Miss, here mother lives here and I came on vacation a few times then got a good job offer one time I was here and decided to move here, I used to work at Dow Chemical (LHC2) when I was down there. My brother works for Dow now. But me moving here is just the way I ended up, might move to McComb in the next 5 years. we will see.
Im from Lafayette and yes I can't stand hearing all the USL fans and their inferiority complex on a daily basis from our sportstalk radio shows. But it really makes for really good radio. I graduated and played high school football with Jake dellhomme. I only say that because he really wanted to come to Lsu, but we already had another Lafayette product in Jamie Howard:huh: and Josh Booty, the second coming, was the same year. Even though Jake has had his problems recently, I wish Lsu would have offered him cause he was better than those two. I have been an Lsu fan all my life. Even though the Miles debacle has brought me here, I am glad I found TF. I wish it was under different circumstances but nevertheless here we are. Thanks for the welcome.
I haven't been on the forum long, but I've been an LSU fan since I understood the concept of sports, football, and how a school can be on National TV. I've always kept my same philosophy too: The coach is the coach, and I don't get to fire him. To me, football is about having fun. I don't see the point of negative personal attacks on the coach or the players, but I'm not blind to the fact that they have faults, just like all people do. I think if you want to criticize, be objective. Say how they can be better, Not how they suck. "Have A Great Day":miles:
Chase, TwT, and Scottz87, you 3 have been particularly quality new posters. Heck, I stumbled on this forum a little over a year ago, around the same time as Steve, so I am still somewhat new, too. There have been some others who just came on recently (esp. after Ole Miss debacle), vented how bad they thought CLM was, and offered no real substance to the threads, but you guys (or gals) have been a welcomed addition for sure.
Hey cut some slack. He is just trying to inject some positivity to this fairly negative board as of recent. I am also a new poster but I have been reading for a while (like 6-7 years I guess) now and I really would expect more civility. I mean I have seen it so I know I am not asking for anything crazy. Things will get better. Happy Thanksgiving guys keep it safe and lets gets some roasted piggie on Saturday! :tigerhead
I am a new poster (actually I was her some years ago, but drifted away), though I was on some time before the Mississippi Meltdown. I am a long time LSU fan. I returned to the forum since I have gotten back into, wholeheartedly, LSU football. I must say, I have never been on a forum where those with a large number post have such a superiority complex. Consistently. The hubris of many is somewhat disarming, and the equation of time (on forum) to knowledge/intellect seems to be a given on this forum, at this place in time. I appreciate a palm branch to the new posters, me included. This is in stark contrast to the personal attacks of many. I sincerely wish there was nothing to complain/whine about. That is as far as I will go. But believe me, I am hoping we get back on track on Saturday. Again, thanks for the "reach out." Geaux Tigers. hwr
