Forget the debate over the forumla and the effect of late season losses versus early season losses. At no point during the season should there be a BCS ranking published. The week-to-week drama serves no purpose whatsoever, except to give lazy reporters a new team to chase for interviews. It certainly seems that our team is distracted by the polls (note our ranking during the Kentucky and Arkansas games), as are other teams when they are ranked #1 or #2. There should be one end-of-year poll published in order to set the BCS bowl game schedule.
I disagree. A true championship team knows how to manage distractions, expectations, and any other types of pressure of being the op 1-2 teams in the rankings. It's all part of it.
