True, but the difference between game 1 vs game 13 was what, 4 months? He'll have 8 more months to improve before next season starts. Every year that goes by, you get better, especially the younger you are. JJ got a little over one year as a starting QB. By this time next year, he'll have doubled that experience, and by this time two years from now, he'll have tripled that experience.

Crowton + JJ + next year = same bad offense

JJ has enough talent if you surround him with a top 5 caliber team to get you 7-10 wins in a year, but at the end of the day he is limited in his ability.

LSU brings back Crowton I suspect a revolt by the Alabama game.

Let's see.... if you have not improved over the last 2 years, and you are given another 8 months of experience with the same coaching staff..... my bet would be you will not get any better.

At least he will perfect his imperfection.

Because we ALWAYS keep the best QB on the bench:lol:! I saw improvement
in JJ in starting to find his receivers and anticipating where they would be at about the halfway mark this year, that also seemed to make his release a little faster, but he has a ways to go to be a top SEC QB, I think that they kept feeding him more of the playbook every week and it was confusing him some, ok a lot at times:hihi:. I hope he comes back and lights it up next year, if not they should play the best QB, maybe CLM should check here and we can tell him whos best??:rofl:

It's funny how last season everyone was riding Miles' a$$ about sticking with JL and wanted to see JJ in the games. JJ gets PT, has a good bowl... and then sucks it up in '09 and now everyone wants another new QB, which the result would more than likely equal what we saw this season.

Yes the tables do seem to turn when QB A (starter) isn't performing perfectly or "Satisfactory" and QB B (bench warmer) is sitting right there, watched by fans, who are wondering when Miles will play him. This year, JJ did a decent job with what he had and was given. He made mistakes, but some are ready to throw him to the wolves because the other QB's "Have it" and JJ doesn't.

I guess after a 3000 yard season next year, and a 10-2 or better record, will make everyone agree on him. Then he goes pro early, and everyone misses him the next year.

Simple arithmetic doesn't apply here though. 4 months and 13 games is the difference between game 1 and game 13. It's hard to assess improvement in the offseason when there are no games. QB's don't necessarily always get better as they get older. It comes with hard work, smart training, and even better coaching. It's by no means a given. The player has to go into the offseason with a vengeance to put in the full effort to get better...I just hope that's the case for JJ this offseason or it could be another long year next season.

Funny....I have never ridden Les' a$$......really never want to

Just a believer that competition should always be open in the spring and fall for a new starter no matter the position. If Garrett, Shephard or Jefferson is the best than so be it.

Well you or anyone else can wonder and speculate all you want about how much better or worse we'd been had Garrett, RS or whoever been our QB...
For all the JL fans, he shouldn't be in this discussion. I defended the dude all last season, through his record breaking pick6 campaign... when everyone here blasted me for it, calling for JJ. And after last season when it matters most (bama game) he throws a pick. If anyone on the roster at QB hasn't seen the light come on it's him.
