Let's hope Chavis stays. I'd much rather have an elite defense with a mediocre offense, than a elite offense with a mediocre defense.

When you are going up a team that has a threat like cooper your defensive scheme is to not let those kind of players get behind your coverage. It's that simple you play conservative and force bamas FG kicker to take it to over time. Hats off to the kicker for being clutch.

I don't know about y'all but I'm sick of playing against all these coaches who LSU vaulted into prominence. Chavis obviously was well established, but it still would suck playing against him.

Coaches are always one season away from being fired, so I wouldn't blame him for chasing the money. I don't see how LSU could let him get away to an SEC West opponent by not matching an offer. Chavis isn't perfect, but he's been worth every penny he's been paid so far. To lose him would be bad. To lose him to an SEC West team would be brutal. It's not like it's a move up either. I don't see any way he leaves for A&M unless he really wants to play with an offense that isn't from the stone age.

I would kill for a mediocre offense.

So would many of us. Maybe next year, I think Cam is going to make some changes.
