When this thread started by calling A&M a trap game, I thought it was simply a tough SEC road game that will be difficult to win. To me, a trap game is more of a situation when we are heavily favored. Now, this thread has evolved into talk of the Bama game. Fortunately, I think only our fans are looking ahead to Bama (especially considering we have an off week in between). It can be difficult to convince 18-22 yr old kids to focus on an inferior opponent but I'm pretty sure they see A&M as a formiddable opponent.
I don't think anyone is overlooking A&M. It's obvious they have a very high scoring offense, and if our offense doesn't show up it could get bad for the Tigers.
Yesterday in the Houston Paper they mentioned the Aggie defense being really tired and spent from last weeks game with Tech.I'll agree with that - going to be interesting to see how their Freshman QB runs on us. I think that will decide the game if he can run or not. Also the early time slot favors them and that stadium gets loud (Aggie Loud)
I agree that the ability of their Freshman QB running on us may decide the game. Even though their game last week was tough on their D, I would think that 18-22 kids with a full week of rest would be fine. Would calling their QB "Johnny Fooseball" be witty or childish? I would say it's all in the delivery although my own perception of my delivery may be a bit off after a plethora or drinks that early in the morn. I love the smell of bourbon in the morning, smells like.....Fooseball.
Anytime someone can say "Fooseball" with the same emphasis and tone as Katy Bates in The Waterboy, it is funny. Especially when it is someone from Louisiana.
