That's what I need times two! My daughters and I will be in Plano all weekend trying to get them recruited at a softball showcase tournament and they've got a dang 11 o'clock game. Any sports bars near Heritage Yards?! Be my luck, though, sneak off catch the game and get back to the ballpark to find a recruiter waitin to talk,,, sports bars close by with free onion rings?
You'd probably have to head up to Frisco around Stonebriar Mall from Heritage Yards (that's at Coit/Hedgecoxe, correct?). The Stonebriar area has a ton of restaurants around there; find one that will put the game on for you (can't think of a sports bar, per se, right around there.) You would go north on Ohio, go over the bridge at 121, then take a left on Gaylord Parkway (2nd left after the bridge) to Preston Road--where every single restaurant known to mankind is located. I'd opt for the bar area at La Hacienda Ranch (just north of Gaylord on Preston) because the food there is awesome, as are the margaritas. A little further away, but a good sports bar, is Duke's Roadhouse at 75 and Parker Road. From Heritage Yards, head east on Hedgecoxe, south on Coit for 3 or so miles, east on Parker for about 4 miles, cross over the 75 bridge at Parker. Duke's is on the access road just north of Parker.
doesn't really bother me because it's not a home game, the 7pm kickoff is much more dangerous when it's @ death valley!!
Thanks for the info! Only been up there for showcases eight times in the last two years and should know some spots but usually have to hang tight at the ballparks - Heritage, Craig Ranch, Archgate, etc.. Never came up against a Tiger game, though. If my girls are havin a bad day with the bats, Duke's sounds like the place!
We had a rainout and I was trying to reschedule it for Saturday but no referee available due to A/B tournament. I got lucky!
Have you guys read this article http://outkickthecoverage.com/protecting-texas-game-screws-am-lsu-fans-on-11-am-kickoff.php pretty amazing really . Scott
