I know it's a long shot and I'm not saying it will happen, BUT...

    Is there any chance that should we run the table and win the SEC championship game;
    A) Do we get into the playoff over a 1 loss Bama team that we beat? Us or them

    B) Do we possibly get into the playoff and have a rematch with Bama to get to the title game? 1st round matchup

    C) Do we get into the playoff and possibly play Bama in the title game? Possible title game matchup

    D) Neither of us make it. Although I can't see the playoff committee not including an SEC team. But stranger things have happened.

And just for fun, wouldn't it be nice to curb stomp Florida twice in one year? Particularly this year.

If LSU wins out our stock will skyrocket. I would love to bitchslap Bama, and UF twice, in one season. That is a tall order, though. Eaux has beaten two teams that aren't so hot. I really like how Eaux turned the trajectory of the game around at half, though.

But will it be enough to pass all the teams that struggle through their gauntlets of 2 ranked teams per year?

I just checked. Basically every team in the top 12 outside the sec plays 2 ranked teams each this year.

I also agree that it's unlikely. But it's been a long time since we dominated anyone, even much weaker teams.

I think we skull drag Florida. Without the two pick 6s their O wasn't very impressive.

We will know a lot more next week!

If we run the upcoming gauntlet undefeated, IF, things will take care of themselves. There is no way LSU wins out against a top 10 aTm, #1 Bama, ranked Rkansas, and Ole Piss, and Florida where LSU is not in the top 5 or 6 going into the SECC. Win that and I don't see how we're not in the top 4. It'd be the biggest season turn around in the history of CFB, on top of losing our HC and Mascot in the 1st have of the season.

I think so as well but you never know how many undefeated teams will be left.

I would also rather get Tennessee in Atlanta rather than a rematch with FU. You somehow manage 6 wins in a row against ranked sec teams and no way they could lock us out.

I only say this because I never thought I would see an undefeated [edit: regular] season. But if Les can do it, why can't O finish it out? Hope is awesome!

I think it's a very long shot but possible. A lot depends on what happens with numerous teams ahead of us. If we somehow navigate Bama, UF, R-Kansas, and aTm then LSU will be getting a lot of love. Still, a lot of teams will have to lose.

I'm just glad to see the team playing well.

Just keep winning. If we get to the SEC Champ and win that we are in the playoffs. Peroid. I don't see them keeping us out.

Like you said it is a long shot and we have some work to do for sure. Starts this Saturday.

We won't be getting Tennessee in Atlanta. I think they are about to go on a skid. They were playing on borrowed time that ran out against the Aggies. Bama simply stuck a fork in them yesterday.

Anything's possible. The thing that worries me right now is that I heard two players in post game comments last night talk about "the gauntlet." Coach O needs to nip that thinking in the bud. All that matters this week is Ole Miss. One game at a time.

Even if we beat Bama, they go to Atlanta due to our Auburn loss. Bama needs to drop 2 for us to go to SEC CG. After yesterday it will be hard for that to happen, they are clicking on all cylinders. They score in all phases of the game and that freshman is playing like a seasoned QB. I would like to see us beat them, but I doubt they drop 2.
