i think he probably has SEC athleticism. i just think he looks like he doesnt because he tries to hard. a more athletic version of dennis tracy. do you think he looks smooth? confident?
What about Ludwig? Probably need's to get stronger and most year's he would probably redshirt but he can shoot the ball so he may have a chance to contribute early.
It's interesting because Trent in his press conference this past week did say good things about both Ludwig and Dotson. Surprising to me, anyway, Trent mentioned that Eddie had put on some weight and was now about 215 lbs. That's certainly news to me, b/c if true, that would have meant that Eddie went from about 190 to 215 and gained 25 pounds, which is a lot. But, we knew that was what he needed, and Trent mentioned that the "physicality" of the game is what Eddie needed to get used to. I do think that Eddie will find some ways to get minutes--I think at this stage though, the team needs him more for low post play at the 4, and the occasional spot up relief of Tasmin at the 3. I think if we see Green/Harris falter, then Eddie will get more minutes right away.
Really? I only ask because his Brady's replacement won the Southeastern Conference regular season championship the year after he left then gave the eventual Nat'l Champs their most challenging game of the tourny before losing. This year will be a trying year because of youth, but they're expected to be back in the thick of things the year after.
We should probably change the title of the thread... it's no longer early... IT'S BEGUN. Midnight Madness was last night at most "basketball" schools. LSU quietly boarded a bus to go to Louisiana College in Pineville to practice. Check out what the other "big" schools had going on.... and LSU fans and administration can look at what to aspire to. :yelwink2: John Calipari takes center stage at Kentucky's midnight madness - ESPN Let's keep talking hoops!
OHH I'll bite, and go with 3, all swept away by the admin, or at least attempted to. These will be the ones we hear of, maybe 20 total. Oh the next five years? I thought you meant to date.
SEC Media predicts LSU will end up #4 in the SEC West... probably fair. Men's Basketball Picked Fourth in SEC West - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics
I can't say that I've seen too much of him, but when I watch him, it does seem like at times "he tries too hard" if by that you mean he's deliberate and is trying not to make mistakes. But, that perhaps explains why his assist to turnover ratio was close to 3 to 1, which is great and probably what Trent asked of him. I don't think Bass was confident in his offense, which is something I'm hoping to see improvement on. His shooting percentage was not very good, and that's surprising. I'd like to see him get above 40% in FG% and how a point guard isn't more around 70% from the FT line is a mystery.
