Wasn't there some article saying that Devine really wanted to come here? I'd love to have him since we didn't get McKnight, he's a special talent. But he'll probably in juco for 2 years

Big difference between 175 and 203. Maybe Devine could put on weight, but that might screw up his running style. There is a place for a lighter Devine, but it doesn't begin to approach what Sanders brought to the table.

If Devine only made a 13 on the ACT, then if he scored an 18, his test would have to be regraded by hand due to the significant increase in score. A 5 pt swing is a major increase in score, and would definitely be questioned. Not saying its not possible, but highly unlikely.

I hope the kid is able to get qualified, and play somewhere. Even if after a year at prep school if that's what it takes. He would definitely be a nice resource, but I don't see him qualifying this year.

I don't understand why kids go to Juco instead of prep school to get qualified. With Juco you lose two years of eligibility. If he goes to prep school he can still come in as a true freshman and play four years. Am I missing something?

Can you get a full scholarship to a JC? Isn't prep school usually on your own dime; and I no way believe these kid's can really foot the bill that most prep schools charge. There has to be more to it than parents getting loans, I would be interested in how the finances really work.

Many of the top prep schools offer tuition plans with flexible payment schedules, I hear. Some may be eligible for grants. And parents with 5-star, can't miss future NFL prospects have little trouble securing loans from the hometown banker.

What a waste of talent. You have to be about dumb as a brick to only score a 13 on your ACT. This guy wont amount to anything...

Not dumb, just uneducated. Alot of times these "super" athletes just get passed on the merits that they'll go play college ball and then NFL. Had teachers/parents mandated he be a "student athlete", this would probably be a totally different person.
