I would like to trade for Blackmon. This kid, if he ever gets his act together, may be the best linebacker playing in the SEC when its all said and done. The guys recruting vids were un-freakin-believable. What I saw of his play last year was just as good. Personally, I hope he doesnt play another down for aubrun. :hihi:
He is a beast, I was just funnin with him for his "Why" question. Blackmon is currently home and not in class- "Taking care of personal problems". If he doesn't make up the credits this summer, we may not see him again.
You would have to be out of your mind to pass on this guy. As Gisclair keeps saying, it wouldn't hurt, and the guy is unbelievable. Looks like Deion is pulling a Vidal Hazelton Daddy move, which IMO, may be in Devine's best interests anyway. I'm glad Deion is continuing to look out for him -- I just hope the kid follows his guidance.
Read this article. Very interesting. I cant believe Sanders wrote this. He actually sounds somewhat humble and caring. LOL I think if Les Miles got in the mix for this kid he could sell him. Les is the perfect type of personality for Devine. http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs...70208/COLUMNISTS41/70208002/1117/COLUMNISTS41
That's a great article, thanks drc40. I think it would be a wise move to throw our hat into the ring, just to make the contact, then let ND go to prep school. When he gets qualified, assuming we have made a good impression, and he has made the right progress, then we talk to him again, and maybe both parties connect. By that time, KW's heading into his junior year, and AB's gone. Much less complicated. I DO NOT think we should do anything just to pad the stats.:thumb:
You know that this is a serious undertaking for Deion when he considers his alma mater out of the running because of the poor job they have done on the offensive side of the ball in the last 5 years or so. That's when you definitely realize he has the best interests of this kid in mind. Deion might be a little too flashy for some people, but he's definitely a good person. You never heard any off the field problems with him throughout his career in either college or the NFL. Normally, I would say stay away from what appears to be a potential problem player, but I think with Deion being involved it's a good idea to give him a ring and let him know Devine is welcome here and wanted.
Is Devine the kid that Deion was going to move to his Prosper, Texas, compound a couple of years ago?
