100% with you on this one.

    3 seasons with the Rangers:

    .318 52 HR 135 RBI
    .300 57 HR 142 RBI
    .298 47 HR 118 RBI

yeah. he surely let the Rangers down big-time, right?

He didn't say A-Rod sucked with the Rangers.
He said that even WITH him on the team, they still sucked, which is true.
They sucked before he got there, sucked while he was there, and have sucked since he left (yes I know they're a few games above .500 right now).
They haven't had winning season since the late 90's.

I was responding to the person who said "Gay Rod" let the Rangers down.

Which is what I said also in my post.

The Mariners suck. No one is claiming Ichiro is the anti-Christ, though.

I just think A-Rod gets unfairly treated. D'as all.

I'm going to stay out of this thread now.
I had to vomit when I realized I was trying to help a Yankee fan defend a current Yankee player.

May god have mercy on my soul.

no one in history is better than mo.

this is inarguable at least during the postseason and I hate the spanks.

One thing Ive learned in sports from listening to media is even the most informed overreact when it comes to the demise of a player. Especially when age is involved.

Ive been guilty of it as well. Mariano is a good example obviously as is delgado who scouts were saying his batspeed was far too slow and could never be regained. One month later hes bashing like old times.

When its a young player, its simply a slump.

Actually I learned this many years ago because I was defending brett favre when everyone was putting him out to pasture then last year shut them up. Its hard to stick to your guns when every know-it-all is telling you differently.

Somehow many of the idiots returned despite Favre's great year. How quickly they forget. Or more likely, trying to believe they were right.
