OK.... so explain to me why the 13 presidents and ADs of the other schools would allow this to happen. The SEC is not run by some faceless, deep state, anonymous monolith. The Commissioner is hired by and subject to the presidents of the member instiutions and other senior staff are either directly hired by or subject to them. I can just imagine Auburn's president saying, "Yeah! Sure! The refs are strongly biased in favor of Alabama... and that's ok with me."

So, LSU and Auburn have agreed that Alabama should make it into the playoffs and will allow refs to be biased in favor of Alabama for a few more bucks? I don' think so. And nobody has reported on this conspiracy? Gee the presidents aren't taking too much of a chance with their careers if this got out. I'm sure the LSU Board of Supervisors would have NO problem with that scenario. And, the SEC and member schools will get the same amount of money whether it is Alabama or Vanderbilt playing in the play offs, at least for the first game....

A few other points. Each conference with a team in the playoffs receives $6,000,000. There is no additional money for making it to the finals. Let us assume that the SEC office and the qualifying school do not get an extra cut of the payout, but that the entire $6,000,000 is split evenly among the 14 member institutions.... that comes out to a little over $400,000 per school. LSU's athletic budget is over $145,000,000. That means LSU is willing to forgo a chance to be national champion and allow Alabama to get into the playoffs just so it MIGHT get an additional .003 additional income. Yeah!!! That makes sense.
Why is it you think Vegas can predict the lines of football games and be so close to right all the time. You think that Conferences don't have vested interest in having certain teams make it to the playoffs. The sec office is in Birmingham. The head of officials is there and I behind closed doors you don't think they are not influenced by what they think may be best for the conference if they think Bama is best served, I don't stick my head in the sand . I have eyes and I can see the way Bama games get called and the people playing them get called. You think that Ohio St qb in the seventies was the last player to owe money to the bookies. What refs cant be crooked .. Who is to say the refs are not feeding how they will call to Vegas. The ref that went to jail in NBA .I have heard him interviewed since he got out and he said his friend he was helping owed the bookies/Mob money and they forced him to say where he was getting his information. So they came to the ref an when he wanted to stop and threatened to hurt his family if he did. Then he got caught on wiretaps talking to them by the FBI, He said I was calling other refs and they were calling him. But David Stern wanted you to believe he was the only one. He said check my phone records if you want the truth but he wasn't naming names. All the refs used to talk to each other and find out how the games would come out. Not necessarily on who would win but they could guarantee by how much and determine if they covered. If you don't think a ref in a bama game couldn't make a holding call against another team to stop a drive so they don't win or cover a point spread then who is the naïve one. I have seen too many calls that were too off to be legit. And the Patrick Peterson Interception game is proof that it happens. No person that wasn't blind couldn't see he intercepted that ball legitimately.
Look at what happened in the Florida hurricane situation . We got screwed and their is no way to defend what the conference did to LSU. Our AD and President took it up the Gazoo.
