I cant agree any more!! Mett seems like the type of QB who do wonders with a receiving TE! That is another piece we are missing, and it shows.
Ok, you got me. Our TE caught one pass. I guess I'm talking about making them an integral part of the offense. Have him help out with chip blocks, then release either into the flat or over the middle. This would help control blitzing LBs.
Once again we are completely 1 dimensional on offense. The playbook is more like a pamphlet because we run the same exact plays over and over. Except the throwback play, haven't seen that one since the national championship game vs. Ohio State. 1. Our offensive line needs to be shifted around. The Josh D experiment is fine against Towson, and Idaho, it ain't gonna work against USCe and Bama. My fear is that nothing is going to change, Josh D is going to have a good game against Towson because, it's f'n Towson, and we go into the UF game and get murdered on the left side. 2. If our receivers can't catch the f'n football, and all we do is throw short passes, we need to have Spencer Ware in the game on the left side to get a chip block and then fall out in the flats or over the center as a checkdown. He is good in the passing game and he isn't scared to block, and if all we do is throw the ball short anyway, lets get it to someone who can do something with it. Also I'm tired of seeing Shepard and OBJ running the deep routes, I love them both but neither have great hands, we should be using Boone or Landry for that, and if they can't catch it either, let's see what Terrance Macghee can do. Hope i spelled his name right. 3. We have to tackle on Defense. The D did a spectacular job, but lots of tackles were missed on the short drive Auburn scored on. If we are going to play the bend but don't break defense, we must tackle almost perfectly. This is the same kind of defensive philosophy the San Francisco 49ers use, they concede short stuff but then are on you in the blink of an eye to bring you down or force a fumble or an incomplete pass. This defense works, and works well but you must tackle. A side note. I think Kevin Minter is going to be special. He could be the best linebacker we will ever see coming out of LSU. To be so young, and to be aligning the defense, he is doing what Kelvin Sheppard did his senior year, and Minter is more talented than Sheppard.
Exactly. You're a credible poster, but posting that way just makes it unreadable and impossible to take seriously. So you'll say it's a joke, but it isn't even remotely funny. It's the bolded part.
Noted, remind me to never watch a rated R movie around you. I don't wanna see you in the boobie thread b/c it is unbecoming of a mature individual such as yourself.
123, it wasn't intended as an insult. I said you're a credible poster, and I meant that for what it is. Like most that have responded, just letting you know it takes away from credibility. I honestly figured you were PUI when you posted it.
