It's now clear that in the press conference (right after the game) he was actually trying not to throw the booth under the bus by not criticizing them for the spike call. He did not know about the 12 men on the field untill this morning. All he kept saying is that he knew it was not the correct call to make obviously. But when you find out that there was a reason for the booth saying spiking it ( 12 men on field) and the fact that Les didn't know the reason, that's why he looked so uncomfortable cause if he says the booth sent it, it looks like he is throwing blame. Maybe he should have known the reasoning of spiking it, but nevertheless it still would have happened. They thought that was the only option. At the end of the game he just didn't want to throw blame so he just squirmed and said spiking it was not the thing to do. It also explains the fact that he didn't know who called the spike. He probably knew but kept it to himself. And remember JJ said it was the booth that said spike it, probably not knowing the info about the 12 men on the field. In the hour or two after the game, as these things were happening, no one on the team was yet anylizing what exactly happened, thus the confusion. Lastly when you look at the video, given this info, he is clearly signaling down. I'm thankful he's not lying but he is still being portryed as one in the big time media. Maybe Les needs to coach a little more instead of being so demonstrative for things you probably cannot change. Watch the videos again and you will see what I mean. Scott

It doesn't matter what he says or does, he's a $4M/yr. head coach in the SEC... in 07 he was being called the mad hatter, and a genius for his coaching decisions that led us to the promise land (and was coined Lesticles), this season he's a moron as far as the sports media heads are concerned... it happens. Miles really doesn't owe anyone anything in terms of explaining himself, he;s paid to be the head of LSU football not any of us... what we think, say and do does not matter or alter the lives of those in charge of LSU football... Miles and every other coach in the country has heard it all at one time or another... hell we started the frenzy calling stoops a has been... it comes with the job.
