Plus, you have to admit, 2007 was a total fluke that LSU got to play for a NC and beat a weak Ohio State team. When's the last time we've seen a 2 loss team play for a NC.

I'll assume from your name that you are a sloppy fat pig with no clue when it comes to coaching college football.

Anyway, I believe we've reached the end of the road once the Miles bashing starts to criticize his NC.

the point is, people won't say saban won with shula's players because he's perceived as a great coach. miles is perceived as the opposite so he gets no credit.

    sad but true.

amen bro! amen !!! 2007 2 years ago Coach Miles won the SEC and won the NCG!!! I give him the credit!!!

Dude, you sure do a lot of complaining. Never satisfied, are you? I don't think I have read one positive post by you all year. I mean the team went 9-3, lost to the #1 team in a lackluster but never out it performance, should have beat the #2 team (now felt to be the best team), and had a brain fart against Ole Miss, much like the coach of the #3 team did last night, and you make comments like "the team showed no improvement", and "the OL showed zero fire". Newflash, we were in every game and won 9 of them! The defense was certainly better this year, and the offense was better in most games the second half of the year. I was frustrated by some performances, too, but I also recognize that coaching a perennial power football team is a complicated process and not as easy as you try to make it. You say there is "no accountability". What do you base that on? Are you present at meetings, practices, in the locker room at halftime? I mean the media can't even get morsels of information, yet you are aware of the team accountability and feel confident to say convincingly that there is no accountability. You just want to rant and complain, point out all the negatives, and its old.

I think what this forum needs is a "Coach Bashing" category. That way, instead of having to dig through threads to get the "itch" off your fingertips, you can immediately go to the category, bash away for an hour or so, get all the venom out of your system, then go kiss your spouse, hug the kids, maybe even count your many blessings.... like all the time you just saved.

I admit I do come off as a bit too negative. I dont like it but thats how it is. I love my Tigers and always will. I just feel Miles has run his course here. I dont like what Ive seen. Like Ive said many times, I can accept the losses if Id just see the BEST LSU out there. I know you have off games, I can accept that too. Its just LSU only put together a good game in all facets maybe one or two games all year. They were outcoached in nearly every game.

As for the lack of accountability. I dont need to be in the meeting rooms for that. All you need is to see Lee and McCray making the same mistakes last year, yet every game they in the same spot. I dont fault McCray though, that was just poor coaching putting him in positions he doesnt excel. This year there were quite a few players who should have been sat. Sometimes sitting someone sends a message. Also you may find a diamond in the rough coming off the bench.

LSU didnt get as many penalties so yeah, I guess you can say there was an improvement there. Still, its when they get the penalties. LSU really helped Bama a lot in that game with boneheaded penalties. THe DL had a much better pass rush so there was improvement there. Their tackling was the poorest on the team though.

Well, I don't think its that clear. Is it the coach or is it the quarterback? Crowton did OK with experienced junior/senior quarterbacks like Flynn and not so well with greener freshmen and sophomores like Lee and Jefferson. McElroy is a junior. I think that has a lot more to do with his being able to read defenses and to understand and execute a complex offense than how he was "coached up".

Red, I will give you it may be a combination of both. Jefferson clearly has trouble getting rid of the ball (I don't know how) if he has been playing QB most of his life. They teach you that in Pop Warner. We can say its the Oline and there maybe some truth to that but he has little to no pocket awareness.

Other the other hand the coaching staff has to be held accountable.

As for McElroy being a junior, I don't buy that it gives him an advantage. JJ has started more games and has more game experience coming into the year than McElroy. It's a push as far as I'm concerned.

McElroy is hot and cold. He's John Parker Wilson v2.0. I expect him to be much better next season.

Isn't McElroy a RS Junior? That would give him 2 more years in the 'system'.

Nope. He'll be a senior next year. RS Junior means that this is his fourth year in the Bama system. He's much more like Flynn than Jefferson.
