That's just the dumbest shit I have ever heard. I couldn't care less if we have a HC that kicks babies and flips off the media at every presser, as long as he keeps LSU in a position to compete for the Division and Conference I'm happy. As of now we can look forward to 4 rent a wins and 2 maybe 3 SEC wins year in and year out, while losing to Bama, Arkansas and 1 or 2 other "should win" SEC teams. We're now stuck with perennial 8-4 or 9-3 win seasons, and that's if he can win the bowl game..

I said before Miles said what he was supposed to say last night. He won't air dirty laundry like Alleva, he is too classy. I hope that this was a wake up call to Miles to change, but if Cam is canned(which I expect) he is just a scapegoat like Rob Ryan was. The real issue with the Saints is Loomis and then Payton. With LSU it's Miles. We have had too many OC's with a similar offensive gameplan for me to feel things change, unless Miles changes.

Who in the hell doesn't have a back up plan and worse of all who in the hell makes a decision about a coach in the 3rd quarter of their last game.

Everything was botched from the beginning. Regardless of what happens let Les finish out his contract. If he doesn't change his ways there is no need to draw up a new one. Part ways on those terms. Les has committed to LSU more than once, they should let him finish out his contract. If it is downhill from there no one has any reason to criticize anyone else moving forward or backwards, however you wanna describe it.

Is he gonna give back some of his money to the University for every year he sucks? I'm on board with that idea if he will do the afore mentioned

Problem with that is, there's what 4 more years of his contract left? In the next 4 years, the mediocrity and "settling" for 3rd or 4th place in the division could start killing recruiting, especially if Miles doesn't get the offense righted. By the time Miles is out here, we'll be recruiting at the level Arkansas used to.

That may have been the most epic WTF Tiger moment of all time. Les, his family, the fans, the media, his players, Shaq and other former athletes all expected Les to be fired. Watching him politely interrupt a live postgame ESPN interview to (badly) sing the alma matter was quintessential Les, why he's loved and was as emotional a moment as there's been in Tiger Stadium.

Why did Alleva reverse course? Seems pretty clear he was planning on firing Les. Did Fisher recommit to Florida St before or after being told LSU was keeping Les? Whatever was going on behind the scenes, its clear Les picked up some major backers that were more than enough to counter the loose-lipped boosters who bungled this entire sorry affair and who thought they were in control.

In the end this could be good for LSU. It shows the fans are intensely loyal, to the point they can overwhelm the AD and a score of boosters who tried to fire the coach. Adds to the sense that LSU is a special place and adds to the lore.

Miles hopefully got the message that change is needed. The lesson Les should take home from this is "the fans love you, but change is needed now. Now. And even though we love you, we almost let you go."

Unless he is tone deaf, he'll make changes. One good move that would please just about everybody is to bring in a high powered OC. Tell the OC that he is being groomed to take over for Les when the time comes. Much like how Fisher/Bowden played out. The boosters were going to pony up for a buyout, they can pony up for an elite OC. This may be the only way to get an elite name, because otherwise top candidates may not want to come because they question Les's job security. This would also shore up recruiting.

Cameron's contract is up. If he's Les's friend, he'll step down and avoid Les or Alleva having to fire him.

Alleva needs to do some serious damage control if he wants to keep his job. We don't know exactly what happened, but the way the media has reported the events of the last 10 days does not reflect well on Alleva.

After several OC changes since '08, and seeing the same boring struggling offense the last 8 yrs, I just don't have the confidence that Miles will make any drastic changes. It's obvious Cam is out after the bowl game, but what real OC will come in seeing the dumpster fire we have on offense?

LSU is a NC contender next year, loaded with talent. Its one of the top programs in the country. Its willing to pay top dollar. And if they let the OC know he's being groomed to replace Miles, then they should be able to get a top candidate.
