How about this: Miles takes one of the available jobs, gives LSU the middle finger on the way out, and Alleva gets fired for screwing the pooch. We take the unproven coach and call it a win win: miles and Alleva gone.

That would be a win win win.

It was a matter of numbers. LSU has continued to make more and more money every year. Think Texas. Mac Brown survied past his prime due to the money coming in. The AD could not get the guy he wanted so the next best coach was Miles.

This is a disfunctional relationship. Expect it to change.

Possible, but if they really suck next season 'Duke' might have the 'I told you so' get out of jail card. Of course if both have to go, well, adios, muchachos.

What was the Saban timeline here? Did he coach the Bowl game vs the midget qb from Iowa after he took job with the Dolphins? I could look it up but I'm lazy.

Well, yes, it was recorded nearly 30 years ago, so that would be an old undergrad to have been born when it was recorded.

Indeed it does. "Living on a Prayer" was huge my junior year of high school.

Oddly enough, a few weeks ago, my 9th grader's drill team prep class had a showcase performance and did a pom-pom routine to "Beat It." Back in my 9th grade year, I also did a cheerleading dance to "Beat It."
